What do you know about Judaism?

Let me start with a funny story... My teacher was sitting next to a catholic woman in a bar, and they were discussing about faiths and religions. Then my teacher said that some christians have a problem to accept letting Jews being Jews. The woman did not agree with that; she said- "I have no problem to accept Jews as Jews, as long as they believe in Jesus Christ." I hope you got the 'funny' part of this story. If not- then you probably don't know that Jews DON'T believe in Jesus. I have found out a lot of false information about Judaism on the interent... Starting from - Jews want everyone to become like them (wrong! converting to Judaism is a long, painful and a very hard proccess. Jews make it harder to be accepted to Judaism so only those who really want it will convert.)to Jews use christian's/Muslim's blood for their "Matza" in passover. (Eating blood is against Judaism, and is worse than eating a pig because blood is considered the soul.) If you want, you can write here whatever you've heard of Judaism, and I'll reply with right or wrong.

Jimeny I am a little confused. You say, "The Jews are still waiting for the real Messiah to come." Yet Jerusalemfolk, also Jewish claims, "A very simple difference between a Jew and a Christian is that the Messiah of the Jewish People is the King David" all the best urban

Yeah, he's somewhat right. The Messiah according to Judaism is a decendant of King David. If you wanna read more, this website is pretty accurate: http://jewfaq.org/mashiach.htm

Okay, since you don't believe my statement that Jesus is not a prophet according to Judaism- I had to go and find you a proof. "Judaism holds the idea of Jesus being God, or a person of a Trinity, or a mediator to God, to be untrue. Judaism also holds that Jesus is not the Messiah." (www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus#Religious_perspectives Please scroll down to Judaism's View.)

Christians used to say that they believe in the same God of Jews and they follow their Bible. Christianity made the concept of God much different and it is not related to the one God theory of Judaism.

I have never heard these crazy theories that you say are out there on the internet, but I don't doubt that there are crazy and inaccurate stories about nearly every religion, nationality and even political party available on the net. The net is a great place, but you have to take it all with a grain of salt. There are, of course, anti-Semites on the net and the using of blood to make matzos sounds like something they would make up. I know quite a lot about Judaism - enough to know that a Christian without knowledge of Judaism can sound pretty stupid when trying to convert a Jew. After all, it was Jesus who said the Jews know what they worship for "Salvation is of the Jews". Christians especially should endeavor to understand Judaism because it is the foundation of our faith, without which there would be no subsequent Christian faith. Moreover, we believe God when He told Abraham "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."

I had some very absurd discussions with people that knew absolutely nothing about Judaism, yet- they heard one sentence that made them go all frenzy against this religion and it's followers. I've never heard this blessing in English before! the translation is accurate!

Nope, they don't believe in him. In Jewish eyes Jesus never was a prophet or god's messenger. We do believe however that there was a man called Yeshua in Jesus's time, that lived in Nazareth and was crucified by the Romans.

I'm actually pretty clueless about judaism...I know Judas and I think it's not the best option people have made to condemn Judas forever like that...After all..I believe that when I'm looking to todays society, they easily resemble Judas: Betrayal because something they think it will benefit them, and like that.. You know..I think Judas will make a good businessman.
