hie, i try to have my teeth. this is because original teeth can tear and chew and grind very well. the food when chew properly is easily digestable in the stomach. with my own set of teeth, i really enjoys food. i heard that dentures do not fit well as we grow old as our jaws shrink. sure, as we are aging. the other is teeth implantation or what thery call it. this is costly and painful too. so i settle with my own teeth. if no more hair on the head, its alright. the easy way out is go bald. maintainence free. or else get a wig and put on whenever you like, no fast rule. simple decision.

Hiya graceful
Problems can occur with those dental implantations too as much as just the ordinary false dentures depending on your age too from what my friend told me he has had to wait nearly a year for one side of the mouth to settle down properly before they put in the implants. I don´t know if that is everyone´s problem but money is not the problem for those dental implants he wants it´s waiting a long time without your original teeth. So it does depend on how bothered you are about going around with a half a mouth full of teeth for months.
This is my friends comment for real I don´t know anything about medical things. Really if you have a bad set of natural teeth and they put your health in possible danger best thing is to have them out. There is nothing to be ashamed of a lot of people as young as 16 years old suffer tooth decay because of the bad water treatment and lack of dental education.
Have a friend who is a Dentist and she told me horrific stories of how many younger kids go there to her with their front teeth all smashed in and they have to wear false teeth in the end. This happens through fights, car accidents, and motorbike accidents, being beaten up the whole lot.
So although your own original teeth are always much better sometimes things can happen that force you to have them taken out.

hie,
thanks so much for the information. i really did not know that original teeth could give so much problems. if the teeth decay and have to go, then that is. looks like nothing is permanent. we must prepare for all these eventualities.

Ha Ha Ha.. Losing both would really be humiliating. Lose your hair, get a toupee... lose your teeth... then get a fresh one from your ortho. I guess I would just prefer to lose my hair. There are men who looks good without hair on. I cannot possibly take losing my teeth for a synthetic one. It's much more humiliating to watch teeth fall off than be seen bald.

I strongly agree with you on this point of view as to losing hair will not be of much problem as compared to teeth loss as they are our main tools in for eating food as well looking or smiling in a similar manner of so.

I wanna have my teeth too when I grow old. Eating is an important part of life and I just wanna eat everything I can eat before I die. I think hair doesnt matter to me, though it will make me look good, teeth are still more important that hair. I hope I will still have them at that time.

I think I wouldn't have any problems with hair. My dad is old and he still has a full head of hair. Of course it's not as thick, and it's mostly white, but at least he doesn't look bald. So if I had a choice, I would like to keep my teeth please. I would like to keep eating whatever I like. And not through a tube when I'm really really old.

well, i have to choose "more teeth". same as you, i want to have my teeth intact whenever i get old. it's not good to see old people without teeth. you can have dentures but it still not good to look at. you are correct, you cant eat delish foods like what you said, chicharon and peanuts. if you grow old without hair, you can always have artificial hairs attached to you scalp. it's like a wig which is glued to you scalp.
