What is F1?

Is it just racing? What does it stand for? Are there different types of racing? What are they adn what do they entail? Im confusd my friends, please help!

The word F1 stands for formula one.It is considered to be the ultimate car racing.Though there are rally car racing and motorbike racing as well as GP1,2 series yet the ultimate is F1 which is known for it's tremendous speed and power and the money involved.The other types of car racing are the GP series where teams from different countries participate.The GP series is used as a launch pad for F1.Generally those who perform well in GP gets a contract with any one of the F1 teams however there is no hard and fast rule but generally whenever a team in F1 requires to recruit new drivers they look to GP to provide then with one.Other types of car racing are Rally(cars) and Moto GP(that involves motor cycles).
