I know there are people at have Credit Cards or had Credit Cards. Some people stop using them because they can't pay it off or they just don't want one and don't want to take the risk of having bad credit. Well I have a Credit Card from Capital One. I apply for a credit card a month after I turn 18. I got approved they gave me a limit of $500. I don't have a problem paying it off at all haha. I feel like I'm lucky really. QUESTIONS Do you have a credit card? (If NO then why?) (If Yes Answer the Following Question) Do you use it a lot or a little? When did you get First Credit Card? Do you have more then One?

Hello Pals101, well yeah I got mines last month as well I got a CAPITAL ONE. I used it many times now. but don't spend what you can't put back. I use it to pay bills, and the money that I was going to use in my debit card I put in my credit card so I can have credit and build it haha.. That was a strong topic/ Discussion. good one too.. but yeah I wasn't scared I knew what I was going to do with my Card. I use it wisely. Only for things that are of importants or paying bills. ;)

I have three credits cards I used all of the cash advances there for my business. I loan money from it. and I also use it from buying items online. I used it when i bought my Director's Cut DVD of my favorite Korean series. It really helps me a lot, I am glad I have a credit card on time of pre selling of that Items. You are very lucky to get approved, because some of the people are longing to have a credit card and they find it difficult to be approved. I want to have another credit card because i will be using the cash advance again for my business. The only disadvantage of credit cards is you have to pay the billing with interest. As long as my business will went out fine i will cut the cards.

Do you use it a lot or a little? I use it only when I need it. When did you get First Credit Card? I got my first credit card about 4 years ago. I didn't want one when I was younger because I knew I was not responsible enough to have one. My card has a small credit limit and is easy for me to pay back. Do you have more then One? I only have one card and will keep it that way.

i've got my first up to fourth credit card years a ago while im still working a the bank. but after realizing that its only a temptation then i closed all of them. if you have credit card you will always tempt to buy things out no matter how expensive it is as long as its still within your credit limit. the at the end of the month once you received your credit card statement only then you will realize that you already use your whole month salary in it and left nothing but just an allowance. sometimes even if you already pay them for installment, you will not know that it become bigger due to interest.

hahaI know what you mean it's seems like free money but it's not it's borrow money haha.. but hey at least your able to pay a minimum and slowly work your way to paying the full amount haha.. Butthat can take some time depending on what you buy and how much and the APR can kill you sometimes. haha.. but hey thats what you have to do to build some credit haha..

I got my first credit card after I started working. But I use the card only when it's absolutely necessary. I have seen many cases where my friends overspend simply because they make almost every purchases with their credit cards. It can be tempting at times because you can get the stuff you want just by signing, even without enough money. But it would be better to pay with cash if possible.

Hey myzire72, yeah i got mines right after i started working haha.. but I think yeah people use there credit card too much only for things they want but don't use it wisely. They think oh I have money and I can just use credit and pay it off slowly in time haha.. but It's a way ofthink but I rather not carry cash on me rather have money in my bank card and pay mt credit card that way Also use the credit cards to pay the bill. then use the money in my debit card to pay off the amount due on the credit card. so I can build card paying my bills like phone, light, TV, internet which also builds me credit as well. So i call it thinking smart to build credit haha.. :) :P well yeah take care .. :)

hi! I have never have a credit card, so that's why my answer is NEVER :) because I really don't need one- you see, i am a student and i don't have any work, and as we all know the credit card means that you must pay taxes for it every month and the poor students like me don't have money for this "gadget" :) well, i have a debit card, which i use to shop with or to withdraw money from it, but the difference is that I don't have to pay any fees for it

hi there payout, well i do have a credit card and I got it when i was 16. It was my birthday and my mom gave it to me, actually she gave it to me after she picked me up from school. At first i was really hesitant and guilty in accepting that card cause i have a bad news for that day to my mom (school stuffs) but since it would ruin the moment then i chose not to tell her the news and take the card anyway..haha.. Right now i still use that card but i rarely use my credit card. I only use it for emergency and stuffs or if i just need to buy something and I don't have some cash with me. I mostly use my debit card instead. ^_^

I got a credit card from my mom. She gave me a credit card 2 years ago and it was named after me. So I was happy. And I tried to use it. I ordered a CD from the internet and after that, she became mad at me. She said it's just for emergency purposes. So after that, I never used my credit card again.

Hey Autumndreamer, Well your mom did the right thing because if she would just let you use it and just not use it on emergency things. You will probably be buying things online and at the store like crazy trying to pay all that money back. It's Good not to use it on things for emergency purposes Only.

We got one for convenience when we took our sons to Florida in about 1989. There has only been one month since then that we didnt pay off the whole balance & that was a time when we had to make an unexpected major purchase and couldn't transfer funds quick enough. If we know we cant afford to pay for something by the time the card payment is due, we dont buy it. Simples.

HI Wizzywig, Yeah I agree if you know you can't pay something by the time the payment is due then don't buy it simple as that. I also do that but I also use my cred it card to pay bills and etc. Pay the comcast, or light, gas, cell phone then afterwards I use the money that I was going to pay all that stuff with thats in my debit card or cash into my credit card just so I can build Excellent credit in the future. ;)

I worked for a credit card company for the past two years. But it was only lately when i decided to own a credit card.I am only a complimentary card on my first card.My friend gave it to me as a gift last December. It has only 100 dollars credit limit which is already quiet big in our currency. After a couple of months,i have realized that my limit is not enough to cover all my expenses. So i decided to apply for a card.and i am happy that last march i was approved by our local bank with the limit of 200 200 dollars. just like you i am also very happy that i am already owning one credit card.Just continue the good habit in paying your credit card in full.so you won't get any problem in the near future.just always remember the advices that I have given you in the discussion that you have made as well about credit card.if in case, you will have some questions about credit card,do not be afraid to approach me.i will be very much willing to help you.happy mylotting

I've had a credit card since I was 18; I'm 60 now. I use my credit card quite a bit, but most of the time, I pay it off each month. I use to have three credit cards; I cancelled one about 6 months ago and I plan to cancel the second one in a few months.

Debit Card - its the pic of a debit card
I don't have a credit card cause i have a ATM plus debit card linked to my bank account .....also i feel its safer to have a debit card than a credit card....firstly you don't spend enough as you know that there is very limited money in your account...secondly you cant buy something really expensive if you don't have money enough in the account...thirdly you don't have to worry for paying the money after wards(as it has been deducted from your bank account:)...

I have a bank account a savings and checking I have two banks matter fact I don't know why just do and a credit card. But yeah I understand what you mean but if you have good credit or none and if you make it better and better the more money they will give you to borrow but remember you can take the money from your bank and put it towards your credit and that will make things alright but don't use too much that you know you can't put it back in a month but they will give you your minimum.

I have a credit card. I use it a lot to earn more points since its very convenient to pay now. I'm paying it online so no need to go to a bank to pay my bills. I get my first card a year after I have my 1st job. I have 2 credit cards. I'll be closing the second one since I don't like their customer service. It sucks. I'll be sticking with my first credit card.
