He finished up basketball tryouts for the 8th grade today. At the end of the session, he found out that he MADE the team!!!! He is so excited and can't wait til the actual games start! They will be practicing everyday for two hours for the next few weeks, so the coach can see which position each boy will be best suited for. I love my son so much and I am so very, very proud of him!!!!

That's so great! I do not have any children of my own yet, but I did babysit two boys for quite a number of years, who were both on their school baksetball teams. I remember how excited they would get, and even though I was just the babysitter I still went to each game. It's wonderful, to see all of them out there so energetic, pumped up, and having a good time. What's the teams name?

They are the Wildcats! Their first game is next Monday night, it is out of town and I can't go to the out of town games due to my other son's work schedule. I can't wait until his first home game to see him play. thanks for the reply ;-]

Congratulations! Isn't it great to see your kids excelling and enjoying what they do. This is the first year that my 9th grader has been able to really play in sports and he loves it, but it's becoming a really big balancing act for him to keep up his grades and homework participating in the sports. Sounds like you're a really proud Mom. I'm happy for you.

Congratulations to your on on making the basketball team. That is great and I bet that he will do very well. I am sure he is very good and has practiced hard to make the team. Maybe he will be a future NBA star. He has every reason to be excited and I am sure you will enjoy watching his games.

I will pass the congrats on to him later this morning, when I wake him up for school. He already informed me that he will be doing lots of practicing dribbling around the house, so I need to prepare to hear the ball hit the floor downstairs alot LOL. Thanks for the reply ;-]

I will be sure to pass your congrats on to him in the morning. Thank you so much! And yes I will be sure to keep posting updates on the games. Last year the 8th grade team went undefeated 21-0, so coach said they have alot of work ahead of them if they wish to maintain that for this year.
