What's your favorite musical?

I am a total Renthead, and I LOVE WICKED!! Avenue Q's songs are really catchy, while The Phantom of the Opera gave me chills from their amazing voices. I have to say I love all of these musicals. What are your favorite musicals???

I also love The Phantom of the Opera especially the ones which stars Emily Rossum and Gerard Butler. Moulin Rouge is also one of my favorites.

Yes! I adore Moulin Rouge...actually forgot to mention it in my reply. I think part of why I love it is because it was partially based on the same opera that Rent was based off of, and Rent is my absolute favorite musical.

Rent, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Phantom and Les Mis It would seem I lean toward the darker side of musical theater.

I also am a total Renthead :D Rent is by far my favorite, though I also love Wicked, Avenue Q, Spring Awakening, Next to Normal, American Idiot, and Phantom. I pretty much love almost any musical, and am always looking for new recordings to listen to.

I am a proud Renthead. I also loved Spring Awakening (I watched them from Youtube) and Wicked (saw it live!) Spring Awakening is probably my favorite. Although it does not match up to the original 1897 play, the musical is very far from insipid. Just listen to the lyrics. They are profound, not so straightforward, and yet you understand what's going on.
