I am going to Spain!

It is now official. I applied for an expedited passport yesterday and today I have a confirmed flight! I will be going to Seville to visit with a friend. We have been talking about this for almost three years now and my friend did not believe it was actually going to happen.
I will fly into Madrid and then go to Seville. We are thinking of going to Jerez, Ribero Del Duero, Rioja and Tarifa. I have another friend who lives in Bordeaux and just happens to be in the states right now. When she found out I will be in Spain she said I should come to Bordeaux. I will have about 12 days total in Spain but I am not sure about taking the train to Bordeaux because it will take quite a while to get there.
I am excited to go to Tarifa because it is near the African border. I've never been overseas before and I have never before had a passport! It's going to be quite a trip!

Sounds like fun. Since you have friends over there, you may want to visit some of the sights they suggest and add on some of your own. Personally, I think you might want to ask about the museums and the cathedrals. The cathedrals are for me. LOL Take pictures and post them on AC so I can see. LOL I've always thought they were gorgeous. LOL Have a great trip and enjoy yourself.

Well, we have to wait and see what the Doctors say. He was supposed to be cancer free but there was something questionable in the last blood work. If he needs more chemo we won't be able to get out that much.

When I was 14 I went to England, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France with my family. In 95, my mom and I went to London and then in 03 my roomie and I went to London.
I loved England and Italy the first times, and I would love to go back to both places.

Hi, Canellita! Wow! I can see that you will have fun visiting these places! I know that you will enjoy yourself and have the most fun while you are there too!

Congratulations! How I envy you! I always hope I can go to take a trip abroad. Until now I can't realize it. You should cherish the chance and make the preparation work. For example, the routine, reservations for flights and hotels. So you can make the best use of the time. I hope you can enjoy the trip. Good luck!

wow, congratulation. I never been to Spain or any other European countries. That is really nice to have a friend to accompany you, so at least you got somebody to talk to. I will definitely trying to saving some money harder, and make my plan happen.

That sounds great! I hope you have a wonderful time. Bordeaux in France? That is quite a list of places you will be visiting in Spain plus visiting your friend, that will be neat. 12 days, that's a good amount of time. Please tell us all about it when you come back. Do you speak Spanish? Three years of talking about it and now you're going. That is terrific.

Yes, that is Bordeaux in France. I am not going to make it there though. My Spain itinerary is pretty full. I speak just enough Spanish to not be able to carry on a conversation! LOL

That sounds brilliant - I am glad you are finally getting to do your dream trip - I saved for years and dreamt for years of going to Florida from here in the UK and eventaully last year we did it and all of us who went agreed it was one of the best trips we had ever taken!
