Are you a Mac or PC user?

I really want a new laptop and I am pretty sure that it's going to be a Mac. It's not because they are pretty or trendy. My husband does tech support for them and gets the discount and he kind of feels like we should have the brand of computer that he helps people with everyday. I've used Macs before and don't mind them, but so many more people use PCs. What do you have? Would you consider switching?

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I can't wait to get mine! Was it a hard transition from PC to Mac?

No it wasn't a hard transition, you gradually learn and become use to it.

Hell0! I PC/laptop user and have never used a macintosh, just because it is really not that popular and it is also much more expensive then the PC's. no of my friends has also a Mac, just because of that reason, and I really don't think you should buy a Mac, i think for those money you can buy something more faster, more powerful, and the Mac is just for "show off", so do i think :)

I think that Macs have a more specific user. They are really good for graphic design and music/video stuff, but they are more expensive. I like that they don't get viruses and that you can sync it with your iphone or ipod without even hooking them up together. For just the average user though, it may not be worth the extra cost.

I have a pc, an assembled one and it has so far given me good service, though once in a while it has conked out.I am quite satisfied with its perfomance and though i have thought about it, i am still not in a position to go for a laptop.Thats because of lack of funds. Maybe when the situation improves and i have sufficient funds in the kitty ,i might consider buying one since it will give me more freedom of movement rather than being stuck at one place.

That is the really nice thing about having a laptop. I don't even take mine far, but it's cool to be able to work on it in the living room, bedroom, dining room, etc.

Hello there. I'm currently using my laptop and it's a one year old but I'm having a problem with my battery. I can't switch it on if the battery is not fully loaded and in able to switch it, i have to use the charger and remove it after! Anyway, back to the topic. I wanted to have Mac also neither a PC or a laptop but it's too expensive and in practical for me to buy one since i don't earn that much. If by chances, why not? But, i wont trade this laptop because it's a gift from my partner.

It seems that price is the biggest hang up for people. Macs are a lot more expensive and PCs work just fine. Definitely don't trade in the one that you got as a gift.

I think I would get the windows put onto my Mac. I don't work at home very often, but sometimes I do and I would want to be able to just download stuff on a thumb drive and go back and forth.
