how is it that all the celebs are just now getting busted for owing taxes?

i dont know how many celebs last year and this year have been caught owing like millions and millions of taxes and they will blame everyone and their grandmother but themselves (of course) but what i dont get is some arent like just a year old and some amounts are just so high i would think it could be a couple of years built up.. how are we just NOW figuring out they owe? and arent most of them california residents?!? what did they decide to actually hire some one to check out these people or do they not even bother till it hits 8 million??? heck if they dont bother you till 8 million i shouldnt have to pay taxes the rest of my life 
just kidding!!
but seriously.. i dont remember so many at once being caught and for such huge amounts.. maybe they are just being televised more now.. but why arent they caught sooner and is uncle sam on a mission or something and trying to find some hidden money to help out our countries financial state? do the actors getting busted lose your respect? i have to say they kind of do mine.. not that i really respect anyone in hollywood lol...

Hey moonlit! I would have to definitely agree with you! And
I also don't understand how there have been so many celebs
that have been getting away without paying taxes on such
extremely large amounts of money for so many years! If one of
us missed not paying taxes on our measly money we would have
been in jail after a few years so this makes no sense to me!
I just don't understand this at all! Who the hell are they and
why are they getting away with this and for so long on such
unbelieveable amounts of money! And yes I definitely lose
respect for them! Why should they live large when we have to
struggle to make ends meet? I'm so not agreeing with any of
this! Make them pay up or do jail time!

it killed me to hear that sinbad was one of the latest ones because i like his stand up comedy so much and he was a preachers son and has turned down a lot of jobs due to his beliefs and not wanting to swear etc.. (although we all know people play the religion card then turn out to be crap though) but he flat out told tmz he didnt pay them because he had a project her was working on that would have paid him more than enough to pay back all of the taxes and that project fell through and his career sank.. so him admitting it even though yeah he was honest still made it worse to me that he knew it! i guess your never too old or rich to learn to not count the chickens before the eggs hatch!

yeah i believe eventually they will get caught.. i wouldnt be able to sleep at night if i thought i was doing something like that lol but i couldnt cheat on my taxes and etc lol.. you would think though that common sense would hit some of these people and heck they could just run a few names from the newest movie or whatever and see what they paid and if its off jump on them.. maybe they just dont have anyone assigned to spontaneously pick people to check.. i dont know

hi! well, maybe they didn't care about them, because never knew about that or maybe they have had no time to think about them, or they just tried to hide all those money they own to the government, because i think their taxes are pretty high, as we all know they get millions per year and I just can't imagine how much taxes they must pay for each year :)

i think i would have a heart attack seeing the amount! i bet some problems arise when they do movies over seas because i wonder if it depends on the company paying you or the location? maybe thats caused a few mistakes or something
