do you think that child stars should have some training about their careers?

not as in how to be a great actor but as in to make sure they realize that it wont last forever? so many child stars or even one hit wonders that are adults get a big head and think that the money will last forever.. they will forever be beautiful or cute and that jobs will always be there.. when its not it seems like they just end up another sad story with a tragic ending later on.. im sure their parents probably didnt want to say all of that to them in fear it might make them worry about their current jobs but i do think that maybe especially in child stars they should have some kind of guidance and training so that they wont be so shocked if their career isnt forever and maybe then they wont blow their money and end up bad off etc..
but of course how and what age would you start? not like a 5 year old would understand but seems like some one should be able to teach them something about it as they go along (as in if they were on a long running tv show) it must be devastating to have been in the spotlight with a lot of money just to not be and not understand why.
what do you think? is there a way of getting through to newbies in the biz? would they even listen? would it prevent some of the fallen child stars of the future?

Hi! yes, i do think that the children of the great movie and music stars should get some training the real life, because you are right- they can't just sitting at home and hoping and believe that the fortune of their parents will last forever. but as I know that most of these children go to school and also go to some of the best schools. well, here we have some other question- do the teachers really give them the notes they deserve or they give the some better ones, because they know that these are not a common kids, or maybe they even can get some "charity" from the parents? hope it is not so?

Dear friend,
When I read this in my it was Britney's life. Also reminds me of Michael Jackson. I do agree that they do need training. May training from experts as they are going to handle many other responsible and various other issues in their life compared to other normal people.

I call this "reality training." They need to be as trained in reality, as they are as actors. They need to make sure their lives are their lives, and their careers are their careers, with no blurring between the two of them.

Child stars do need some grounding in reality. Of course, you could say the same thing about many adult stars as well, as they can be just as bad as their kid counterparts. However, for every successful career that one child star has, there is always many more that have fallen ugly. I think the problem stems from the same root that any problem regarding success in show business does.
That is having too much too soon is never done. It does not matter if you are child or adult, there is always a chance that getting a lot of success will go to your head rather quickly. Thus when that success fades as it often does when people get bored with someone, it can be very humbling and thus cause people to do things that might not be in their best interest. Again, this might not be a child star problem, just rather a problem across the board.

Child stars don't even realize they are making money (unless they are teenagers). Parents control the money and feed off their children often making them leave out unrealistic dreams. And the kids are none the wiser. Even if they were told they would probably continue to do it if they thought it was making their parents happy. Because, that's all a child wants to do. is make mom or dad happy.
