Pet Child of the family - Last kid?!

Friends,
Always the last kid in the family has all excuses and affection in the family.
Highest blur he/she does will be granted!They win most of the family members heart!
This all my personal experience,though am not last kid, am the first kid, my brother who is the last always enjoys all previleges in the family.
Even purchases will be in their favor, even they dont study well, they will be excused, whereas otherway round, the elder kid is not so forgiven.
Mom/dad always has soft corner for the last one, on the contrary have seen the last one the most intelligent as well.

I agree. My youngest brother has always been babied... He's now 18 years old & has no life skills whatsoever! He can't hold a job, was given a 'high school diploma' by our mom so that he didn't have to go to school but he can't do basic math or reading, and gets everything handed to him by my parents. Even when told to clean his room, if he doesn't do it, my mom will go in there & do it for him!
I'm trying my hardest not to do that with my 3 kids. I make sure that I buy them all something at the same time, I try not to favor one over the other when it comes to chores or snacks or anything like that. But its a bit easier when they are toddlers.

Exactly true, but without my knowledge there is a soft corner for my little one who is 1.4 years now :-)

True. The last kid in our family is the favorite and the most intelligent too. But in my mom's family, it was not so. The youngest wasn't the smartest, the second to the youngest is.
