Hi cowboyofhell, it's true that gardenia jasminoides is lovely flower in white color. When jogging around the neighborhood I can see these flower plants growing in front of the compound of some houses. Yeah, I can see the flower with so many petals. We can get the attractive fragrance of the blossoms if approaching them
I learn the name of this flower after reading the info from wikipedia. These are flowers which are very common in my place but I don't know what the name of such flowers actually are, until I read your discussion as well as the info acquired online. Thanks for starting this topic

For me it depends on the flower, some have the most beautiful smell, where as some have a horrible stench!
I love looking at flowers though, have always found them fascinating.

I love flowers and i make it a point to smell it. I know some flowers don't smell good that is why i try to smell it so that if the smell is not good, i won't buy it. I'm not familiar with the flower you mentioned maybe because some flowers are not available in our country. I'll search it here in mylot.
