What an awesome question! I think it is the kind of question that will invoke different interpretations. It's like either letting something happen, or making it happen. And, of course, the word "temptation" is a little stigmatic. I think it is used to place shame where none should be. I believe things are written in the stars, and while there is a fate that helps to facilitate it, taking things into your own hands to make it happen is also part of the plan.

wow! what a awsom answer. i am struggling with this. so if there is no shame in temtation why do they call it temtation? that seems like such a unlawful word.and when something seems like it is temting you how do you know if it is really telling you it is meant to be?

I guess an unusual interpretation would be an infidelity situation. Like, for example, someone's girlfriend goes to a bar with some coworkers, and ends up going home with someone. The temptation was presented, but, she could have exercised her ability to say "no", and remain faithful to her partner. If she didn't say no, perhaps, subconciously, she has been wanting out of the relationship. And, this temptation presented itself as a kismet way out of the relationship. Or, another example is, I want to be daytrader. But, I have no capital. Naturally, temptation to buy stocks on margin, or just outright is there. But fate dealt me something called "Sharebuilder", in which I can by portions of shares little by little until they gradually build up. I think if something were not meant to be, there would be absolutely no avenue or prescence of it. This is a great question, and one I will posing to my offline friends! It really gets you thinking!

you see this seems to be the issue in many cases.say a person is in a relationship and they have been unhappy for years and a nother person comes along and they are very intrested in them. do you feel this is then temtation because that person is comited to some one else ? or is it meant to be?and then you have another person that is not comited to any one but they have some one in thier office they find atractive is this then acase of temtation also or meant to be?see how twisted and confusing it seems to be.
