Many boxing experts and writers around the world was very impressed of Pacquiao's performance yesterday. Pacquiao was on Clottey's face the whole time sometimes landing seven or eight punch combination in rapid succession. Although we had not seen Clottey wobbled by those punches thrown by Pacquiao he clearly out-boxed him landing 246 punches out of 1231 and Clottey 108 out of 399 punches base on Compubox. In my opinion Pacquiao clearly demonstrated his speed and stamina showing that he can throw thousand of punches and not get tired. On the other-hand Clottey was just on the defense mode reluctant to engage. Even though many was impressed with Pacquiao's fight some didn't like it that much because they were expecting a knockout. Guys what can you say about the fight? Give me your thoughts :)

Not that i dont like the thought of the fight at all, but considering what i just watched its a total disappointment on my part. Yes as usual manny delivered what is expected from him but on the other hand its as if hes fighting a punchbag who happens to have two arms that kind punch you as well. Clottey is always on the defense so afraid to gamble he might be thinking hey if i stp defending one strong punch and i might be sleeping already. Its just a fight of defense defense defense for him as if manny is just practising to cap it all its a huge disappointment clottey just made money out of the fight. AS if he knows we wont win against pacquiao ;)

Pacquiao displayed a role of an ant trying to climb the mount Everest. Mount Everest is Clottey. I am disappointed with Pacquiao but Clottey really is the winner for me.

I don't think Clottey was Mount Everest he was more of a turtle because he's there just covering up his shell. Pacquiao gave it all to entertain the fans but Clottey was just there covering up and earn the easy way.

As usual Pacquiao gave it his all and was very impressive skill wise. To all the haters - you know it ain't easy so why the grief?

It was quite disappointing that we didn't get a knockout from Manny...but it was because Clottey was so reluctant to fight and was just defending himself most of the time. Articles say he was more concerned of staying up until he can than getting knocked out which he has never experienced. If Clottey was exchanging punches, honestly, he could have won. He is really a stronger fighter. However, this is where skill comes in which Manny Pacquiao exhibited very well. He threw so many punches and he was too fast for Clottey. Clottey himself said Manny was too fast and that he was taking time to punch. Although Manny says Clottey is kind, which I think he is, it seemed like he played it dirty in the ring. He was stepping on Manny to outbalance him, was throwing below the belt punches, and was punching Manny even though Manny was already in sort of what we could consider a clinched position. It was a sweet revenge for him to throw that double-hand/"pompyang" punch on Clottey. Yes, I totally agree with the extraordinary stamina Manny showed. He threw a thousand punches and during the 12th round, it seemed like he was still fighting in the 1st round. After the fight, he even had the chance to have his own concert. I took a boxing session once and I realized how much stamina it takes. One and a half hour of boxing session sort of worn me down. When we were sparring, I seldom realized that my guard was already down. My trainer was telling me, "guard!" Also, I was alreay just moving my feet instead of making real steps. It's amazing how Manny and the others could keep their stamina like that and I understand now how hard it is. I respect the sport more than ever. Even though there was no knockout, Manny was clearly the winner when it came to speed and skill. Hooray for Manny Pacquiao, the world's greates boxer of all time!

I agree with you that if Clottey traded punches with Pacquiao he could have won but he was just reluctant because maybe he's thinking that he could get knockdown. I noticed that too, Clottey was stepping on Manny's foot and punched him several times below the belt. We were really laughing here when Manny threw that double hand punch in which Pacquiao admitted he purposely execute.

I would say that Pacquiao was in 100% going into the ring against clotty. Clotty was a defensive player but all he did was defend him self against pacman. But pacman was indeed to fast for him he was a no contest foe pacman if i can so
