I've been asking myself if i should join a box club.. Here's some info about me : I'm 16 years old. I'm 1,87m tall I'm thin. Not too much muscle.. I'm a student. So I don't have too much time.. I love running and lifting weights. Does it fit me? I'm too old? Can it affect my health? What advantages/disadvantages do I have?

i think everyone should at least try it out. It def expensive! My husband used to box and muay thai. I considered boxing b/c alot of people look at me like I'm a princess and whatever. Sometimes I act like it but other times I'm a lil hard A$$! But whatev. When I first brought it up to my husband he said go for it but then said people are not going to be light with you so be ready to get punched in the face, have black eyes and a broken nose! After that I said Nah! I worked in front of people all the time and have a very beautiful fac (LOL!) so I decied not to. I can't afford to be looking beat up all the time. Yeah they have protective gear on but it just protects to a certain extent. Since you're a guy it's better b/c guys like that kind of stuff it makes you looker tougher. On a girl people would ask "is your husband beating you? It's okay to tell me!" See the difference? Tey it now before you get older b/c the excuse then will be "I don't have enough energy" Good luck!

you need to ask why do you want to box? age, size does not matter that much. attiutude does. do you like a power punch contact sport? one on one competing? do you get a headrush thinking about trading punches with someone? motivation is why you should go into boxing. serious about learning/doing, allow 1 hour a day at the gym.
