Have you ever had the experience of staring at a gorgeous stranger unknowingly?

There was this one time during my teenage years when I was hanging out in the mall with some of my friends. There was this really pretty girl in the mall's food court and I just stared at her like some lovesick fool as she was eating a sandwich.
It was a long time until I realized that the girl was also looking at me. Unfortunately, it was not in the same manner though--- she was probably creeped out. She finished the remaining part of her sandwich and left the food court in a hurry. My friends laughed at me when they noticed what I just did. I didn't get to say anything, I was too embarrassed.
Anyway, to cut the long story short, it turned out that this girl will become my classmate in college. Talk about an awkward situation! We ended up becoming really good friends. At least she didn't remember me from back then right? (Or did she?)
I'm interested if there's anyone who have had similar experiences.

I've tried staring gorgeous strangers unconsciously and CONSCIOUSLY. I mean, I easily appreciate the symmetry of faces among people. I don't know why but I'm just into it.

LOL Life's funny that way, isnt it?^_^ Great to know that you became friends with the stranger that you admired.LOL
I have had those times when I see someone beautiful or handsome and I do appreciate them by looking at them. Though I just have a habit of being aware of what I say and of how I look at other people. You see, I do the opposite of what most people does when it comes to staring. Like in this country, most people would stare at foreigners. I dont do that, in fact I look away. I just dont want to add to their discomfort with all the other people already looking at them.
So with staring at people, I am fully aware that I am looking at them. I just try to take in all the details that I could as to why I think they're beautiful or handsome. Also, I try to be discreet and not let the person know that I was looking at him/her.
Anyway, I guess I havent met someone that attracted me in a great way that I blanked out and just stared at them.

the moment you have described was really awesome. and i think in result you have got that girl as your friend. i dont have really any moment of incident of this kind. yes a bit different moment was that i was in love and she too with me. who use to say and think about me as a fool. but at last we get separated. so as it was not a happy ending so no matter to describe.

I'm not a teenager anymore but i'm not a "very adult person" neither (20 years old).
So yes, when i find someone very beautiful, i try to look at him discretly. It just happen twice and the cool thing is that these two boys were looking at me too but when i cross their eyes, i always look anywhere else xD.
Too embarassing, worst is they was just in front of me in face to face.

I do this and as I teenager I find myself allowed to. :P
Sometime sI get caught but for the most part Im able to stay under the radar and just look without consequences.
