Would you give up your profession to take care of your baby?

To all the women out there, if you got married and had a child, would you be willing to give up your profession to stay home and take care of them? Say your husband had a stable job and was able to provide for the family. Would you be able to give it all up and give the best you can to your child?

Yes I'am willing to give up my job so I can take care personally my baby, if my hubby has a stable job and can provide our needs. but if not? I hate to put my baby in the daycare but I dont have a choice. So far I'm a full time wife and mom, so I'm happy of what I'm doin now taking care of my child.

Yup, being a mother is the best profession one could ever have. You are building not only your kid but the world's future. It's up to you if your child will grow up as productive individual or as another destroyer. The mother plays a crucial role in the society. You are taking care of the future protector/destroyer.

I gues that it really depends on all the circumstances. If I was an only mother than I wuld consider part-time and if I wasnt a only mother but we needed the income I would consider the same thing. Howver, if I had anothe to help support and we could afford a single income I would LOVE to be a home mom. Id want to get back to work after the child was older though (high school or older) - even if it was just part time.

Of course. A mother should be the one raising her child, not nannies or daycare. They cannot give the love/attention that your child needs and deserves. There are so many horror stories about how negligent some sitters are. There is really no way to know what your child is exposed to. It is sad that so many mothers choose careers over raising their children. Isn't that their purpose in life, to raise the child that they gave birth to?
