My first child stopped at 8 or 9 months, same with my second. But my 3rd was still nursing until she was 20 months old. I've heard of some moms nursing until their child was almost 3!!! I let my body & child decide when to stop. As my daughter grew, she was less interested in nursing & more interested in playing. I say let your daughter decide. Of course, if you are uncomfortable about it, you can stop now without any worries. I think that past the age of 1 to 1 1/2, its more about comfort than nutrition anyway.

the best time to stop.. is when yer baby decides she doesnt want it anymore. with my own.. i nursed her till she was 3 years old. and she just simply decided no more. there was no crying, no feelings of guilt.. just a milestone that passed on by like so many others will. she will turn ten in a couple of weeks.. and so much more has passed since then. i wouldnt trade the time for anything. let yer child guide you.. and youll both do fine
