I heard a great story, about Network Marketing, and I would like to know what you think about it, so here goes. Let's imagine you have a job. A great job that you love. One day you are sitting at your desk and the boss comes up, taps you on the shoulder and says "I have some good news, and I have some bad news" Most people would ask for the bad news first, and so, you reply "What is the bad news" "Bad news is your fired" Whoa, you think to yourself, that is bad news. I love this job, what if I can't find another job like it, what if I have to find a job that is across town, what will my spouse think, and all of the other negative thoughts that come with the idea of losing the job you love...."So, what is the good news?" "Good news is you get the rest of the afternoon off"..Now, what you wonder, as you are thinking about all of the horrible things this entails, you summon up the courage to ask your boss "Is there anything I can do, that would let you keep me?" And your boss replies "Most of our jobs have been outsourced, and the only way we could afford to keep you, is if you agree to work 1 hour overtime, every day from Monday to Friday, from 5 to 6pm" Would you agree to do it? Most people would. So, lets assume, you are most people and you agree to this stipulation, and you get to keep your job. The boss says "Great, and for doing this, here is what the company will do for you, if you do this, work one hour of over time a day, Monday to Friday, 5 to 6pm and you don't miss anytime doing it, the company will let you retire at the end of two years, at full pay." WOW, you think, the opportunity of a life time. You, love the idea, and you readily agree. You go home and tell your spouse and friends about it. About 6 months in, you are at a party and your friends, say to you "Your a fool. Why don't you quit that silly job, and find a job where they will pay you for all your time" You reply, "No way, I only 18 months to go, and I can retire at full pay" and about 18 months in your spouse says "We miss you for dinner, dear, why don't you quit that job and get a job where you come home an hour early for dinner." Your response to that is "No, honey, I only have 6 months to go, and then I can retire at full pay, and be home all the time with you." And so you complete your 2 years and you retire at full pay. Unfortunately, your job will never offer this benefit. But, we do, you join a network marketing company, and you work for 1 hour a day, for 2 years, talking to people, not surfing the web, not playing pen pal, but talking to people chances are by the end of two years, you will be earning enough money from your business that you can replace what you are currently earning. I know what you are thinking, sounds good, but I wouldn't what to do or say. That's okay, you can learn anything in an hour a day for two years, heck you could even learn to play the piano. So maybe the first week you learn to say "Hi", and the second week you learn to say "My name is" and so forth. Well what do you think of this story? Takes about 2 minutes to tell, and it might make you a lot of money, then again, it might not. Thank you for your time, I appreciate you.
