True.Lectures. talks and speeches are al good if the subject is your natural interest, for one thing. But there are several times in our job that we keep listening to lectures, the informative kind and the breathing down kinds from bosses. No point feeling they are boring. One of the evils of an industrialized social structure. On spiritual subjects if the man speaked isa realized soul he/she need not speak. He/She will still hold your attention. All people who lecture on spiritual topics need not be spiritually awakened people, sadly. Thos edays are long past when spiritually awakened people along talk on spiritual topics. Add to that the over-simplification of spirituality that the New age Gururs have brought about. Most of them are money spinning rackets!!!

I like to listen to lectures that involve hearing about dealing with people that are rude and nasty. I also like to listen to my Pastor preach during Bible Studies. I also like to listen to him preach at many church services and events that he regularly attends too.

I would prefer to listen and discuss lectures about life and environment. And the lecture should be a two way communication rather than a straight forward speaker-listener. It makes me sleepy and make the lecture boring on the long run. But, it the lecture is a lively one, I can participate and discuss my personal knowledge and feelings about the subject. Then that I could say is a good and interesting lecture.

Hi Ksmita
Yes I like attending lecture class, i like listen about something new that i never heard especially for computer subject and self development, with this one i can learn much and ask as much as i can :). Attending class the important thing while we ware in collage because not only listened professor but also we discussed about the topic, that was interesting too.
I think if discussion in class rewarded like mylot maybe all student will be active to ask and answer the discussion to :). and unfortunately while in college some of my friends just attending for filling attendance paper :) some of them were not interesting in class but they ware interesting in lab.

There are a lot of lectures that I am fond of listening.
First and foremost, I like spiritual discussions. Not necessarily which makes you very saintly but those things which might just reform me or renew my life. I have missed this chance for years now. The last time I had a lecture about this was looooong ago, since time immemorial. LOL
Second, I love hearing about constructing websites. Although I am real weak in mathematics, but I love to codify really how things work in internet by using texts and notepads.
Third, I love listening about psychology. Dealing with life's pressure and how to deal with other people, they make me live more valuably. Also, those inspiration lectures about life makes me feel prouder
Fourth, leadership seminar is a top too in my list. I want to lead a group. I have always had a desire to lead a big group and achieve success as a group.
But it all boils down to the speaker then. These things are useless if the speaker is incompetent and unable to deliver his job well. You know, I am very selective when it comes to speakers.
