I have no allergic in food, but my wife has, she allergic in seafood. if she eats seafood, then the skin would itch, red, and rough. I am so pity on Her, because seafood is a great food, like crab, shrimp, clams, oysters, etc. So if I want to eat seafood, I have to eat it alone. What about you?

When I was still a kid, I am still not allergic to crabs and shrimps but one day... after eating shrimp... My mouth started as if it is itching also the inside of my mouth. This happened to me several times and the food I was only eating at that time is shrimp everytime it happens.... Same story goes for the crabs... Is this really allergy or maybe something else?

I think it was an allergy, the symptoms is represent allergy cause. Maybe you should be careful to eat seafood. In my opinion, allergies can occur at once and disappear instantly without cause, depending on the immune system and metabolism. Same thing happens to my wife, she become allergy seafood since pregnant our first child until now.

im not allergic to any food and im thankful for that coz it means that i can eat whatever i want without giving harm to my body system. though theres one time when i eat seafood and i have a lot of red rashes in my shoulder, arms and face and when we go to the doctor they said its not from food. then the doctor try to ask where did we eat it, so i told them we eat it during picnic under the big tree, so then the doctor conclude that maybe its from those small creatures from the big tree that give me allergy i just forgot what are those creatures is but they are really itchy once it touches your skin.

Fortunately, it seems I'm not allergic in food so far. I hope I won't be forever. Many people are allergic in seafood, like your wife. I like every yummy food, so I think it's awful! Once I had measles, I was forbidden for many delicious food then. So I know the feeling, I think.

I don't know if I'm really allergic to it, but I don't deal with citrus very well. I also don't like certain textures.... That's not really an allergy, though.

I was allergic to a lot of food when I was young and that was before I overcame my asthma. I was very asthmatic when I was still young and food allergies triggered asthma attacks. I was not allowed to eat chicken, eggs, mangoes, beans, chocolates, ice cream, beef, shrimp, crabs, squid, eggplants, squash, watermelon and other kinds of food I have forgotten some of them already because they were too many. But I consider myself lucky now because all that was kinds of food that the doctor said I could not eat, I can eat them already so I am happy about that. Especially about the seafoods that I can eat now.

I really like seafood especially Baked Cheesy Garlic Oysters. Sad to say that all people do not have the same protein, that is why allergies come when they eat protein content foods like eggs, beans, seafood, etc. You can enjoy the meal with your wife even though you have different dishes and to make the meal more enjoyable, just talk about interesting topics. :)

Unfortunately, I am allergic to eggs. I didn't used to have this allergy. But then last spring I kept getting sick. So, my mom started asking me every time I was sick, what I had to eat that day. Finally, she said "You are allergic to eggs." Sure enough, it turned out she was right. I vomit, and have a very high fever and more flu like symptoms. The last time I had these symptoms, my boyfriend thought he was going to have to take me to the hospital. Sure enough, within about 12 hours (maybe less), I was feeling better and the fever had gone down. I looked up the ingredients for what I had eaten, and sure enough it had eggs in it. I have been a lot more cautious ever since.

I'm not allergic to any food. Non of my family members either, so we can basically eat anything we want. I have a colleague though who is allergic to sea food and she would start to itch when she consumes anything that's sea food. But this did not prevented her from eating seafood. When she craves for it, she just consumes antihistamine so her body will not have that adverse reaction.
