I subscribe for the Women's era every month and was just going through it when I read this article and thought of sharing it with my fellow mylotters.
To some people her tale may appear like a dream. Even she would not have dreamt that one day her own story might become a best selling book. Yes we are talking about Baby Halder, a 3ar old, partially literate domestic help whose biographical book Aalo-Andheri (Light & Shadow) has created a new record as the best seller. She is working at the house of a retired professor and her tale ypical tale of harassment humiliation that a below-average women has to face in Indian Society.
mlication of the story is that a helping hand can transform the life of downtrodden women. shows that above all blood and blood realtions, there is one more pious relation. It is human relation.

There are thousands of downtrodden women here in our country. What we need is a great leader and of course our understanding of the problem and try to solve such issues. We can start doing some thing in our area, locality, school and colleges and help. The blessing of the downtrodden will certainly satisfy us. Good for you to be so concerned.
