Future of human species...

Evolution plays a bigger role in the success of any species. We humans as a species have evolved from ancestral monkeys. We have shed most of the covering hairs and learned to wear clothes... We have learned to stand on two feet and walk freeing our hands for other useful purposes... We have tamed wild animals and even made some of them as our pets... What do you think the evolution has in store for future humans? How would they look like? Please share your views.

I think we can expect only a few changes in physical structure i.e. shorter heights etc. The evolution is now changing the psychological structure of humans. For example, take a look around and see the 4-5 years old doing things pretty smarter and beyond our expectations. Sometimes, their smartness sets us thinking, what would we do at that age? And I always find myself agreeing that I wasn't that smart when I was of that age. So, we may safely assume that human mind (or brain) is evolving in this phase. To put it in one sentence, now human brain is evolving than the body and generation after generation, human will become more smart and wise. We can't forget that it wasn't someone's will that caused those physical changes in us. It was our ancestors' actions, lifestyles which made many things on human body 'not needed' anymore and those not needed things were removed in a few generations. Now, the thing has reached its limit and hence, our brain is evolving. Why brain? Because everyday we strive to learn new things and analyze nature... The more we progress, the more gifted our brains will be... That is also a part of evolution... Have a good time!

Hi Mr.Pearl, It is very true that our ancestors' way of life has shaped our evolution too. At present, we people rely on machines for heavy physical works and in turn the machines have been invented out of our brains. I agree with your view that future humans will be more smarter. Thanks for sharing your views!

Hi Silverjapan, It is true that not all humans are utilizing their brains effectively. You are right! Thanks for your views!

I don't think humans are developing their brains, look back at Einstein, Michelangelo, Confucius, etc. etc. etc. Sorry to say it but you're wrong.

Evolution is a continuous process. There's no such thing as perfectness, so evolution still happens. What I see as evolution of humans is something that transcends physical appearance. We are already pretty well equipped to be the best species ever, meaning that no other species on earth can pose a threat to our existence, generally speaking. We have weapons to compensate power. But mentally there is still room for evolution. And this is what has evolved mainly in the last thousands or even millions of years. We have machines to perform the automatic and repetitive work, we have computers to perform volumes of tasks that are way over the brain capacity...all we need to do is to think of better ways to live and to evolve ourselves. What i think will happen not in the very far future is that humans won't have to do any physical work, they will just have to program computers and machines to achieve higher and higher performance.

Very well put, klaudyou!!! I am of the same opinion as you... I have posted my views upon this matter on the same page. I request you to go through it once. I agree with you that physically the evolution has almost done with, but speaking of brain, there is a lot of room... Have a great Day!

Hi, I agree with you that being prefect is a continuous process and we humans have surpassed all other species on Earth. Thanks for your thoughts expressing that we still have room for evolving mentally and humans will use computers and machines for doing high performance physical work.

I would really interested to know how will the future generation would look like. I knew we still have same bodies, bloods and the same human characteristics. But technology developed day by day and we can expect some awesome experiments and discoveries will lead us into a very futuristic world where machines and technology prevail. I think most of the people in the future would no longer venture outside they were just living in the virtual world. They order clothes and foods online and do some sports and recreation in the internet world. The physical appearance of the future human species would be comical. Just my guess.

Hi Reckon, Yes. It is indeed curious to know how the future generation would look like with new technologies and invention of machines. Thanks for sharing your guess in this post.

this is a very interesting topic. in one of my college classes, one of my professors presented a theory that we are no longer evolving physically, but rather technologically and mentally (our brains are much larger than prehistoric man's). I had a weird thought (just thoughts--i'm not waiting for a apaceship in halle-bopp's comet tail or anything) that, if they exist, aliens would represent what we will eventually evolve into (big brains, analytical thought with little emotion). sometimes i think our reliance on technology is a little too much and we are being separated from each other on an emotional level. With all that said, i would hate for that to happen--one of the best things about being human is our connections with others.

Hi Sandra, I could understand your emotions that we as humans fail at times to connect with fellow humans. It would really be a nice world if everyone is connected with each other at an emotional level too. Hope the way we think affects the evolution for better results! :) Thanks for your thoughts!

It seems to me most people I know are as tall if not taller than their parents so perhaps we are getting taller? Unfortunately according to studies and the news it sounds like more of us are gettting fatter too. (I am personally working on that one myself right now! lol) I also personally believe that we are becoming more spiritual beings of a higher spiritual inner evolution. Not necessarily religious in the traditional or labeled ways, I mean in any faithpath and really agnostics etc too, their inner selves of however they believe about themselves as a life energy or such. There is a very intriguing information about this possibility and the new Indigo Children and the more recent Crystal children and (we all have aura colors and we are all special and important with purposes according to these studies). This is highly contraversial naturally w/ some people think its nonsense and then some like me, really SEE this characteristics more strongly in my children then in generations older than me for example not only in my own kids but others too. It makes for interesting discussion and reading if nothing else. Here is a link I found where you can take a test to find out what colors you are and what your characteristics and purposes in this life are. (I have no connection to this website at all its free and fun regardless.) I scored INDIGO/BLUE-10s Violet/Lavendar-5s for me most of the other colors were low and mostly ones except for logical tan which was a zero lol. What's yours?

ape ancestors had been there before we are in this world, we are not born from a monkey. After further investigation we have elements which are ground and it proves that humans did not come from monkeys. Just maybe, people can be cursed into monkeys or other animals.

We will always be the spiritual beings we are inside. Genetic manipulation is coming. It will come starting with curing disease. If will end with increased longevity, stronger healthier people and a decrease in the diversity of appearance. Lots for mankind to learn before it really gets going.

I dont believe we came from monkeys. But I believe that Humans will come up with some inventions that can change the aging process. or something who knows. People are always inventing new things all the time.

Evolution - What have you evolved to?
I think Darwin's Theory of Evolution of Man is incorrect. If we came from apes then those monkeys and gorillas in the zoo should have turned into human in the years they spent in the cage, right? The Bible teaches that we came from Adan and Eve, they are our greatest-grandest-mother and father. Culture is one that really evolved. We came from using no tools at all and arriving to the computerized age. Have you imagined yourself without the computer and internet? Features of human also evolved. Because of intermarriages of our ancestors, they evolved into Caucasians, Africans, Asians and others. Some developed dark, red, white and other colors of skin. Some developed into tall or small people. We even developed different languages thru the years because of the case of the tower of Babel. What's in store for us? I think the future is in the hands of all of us. If the evolved developed mind wouldn't think of ways of blowing up the Earth then we could survive until the day that Jesus comes back and lays His Judgment on all of us.

Hi Basqui, It is probably because we came from different ones and that is why we are able to put those monkeys and gorillas in the cage ;) Thanks to our greatest-grandest-mother and father whoever they were. I agree with you that the future is in hands of all of us. We must respect humanity and connect with everyone protecting our planet Earth. Thanks for sharing your views!

As a man, I do not fully believe the theory of evolution. As we all know, that man is the most perfect creatures on this earth. So, I can not imagine if humans will evolve.
