Ananth Pai, cartoonist, (fondly called ‘Uncle Pai’, by children in India) is known as the most ‘comic’ cartoonist of India. He is editor of ‘Tinkle’ and ‘AmarChitra Katha’, two popular magazines for children. He is the creator of several impressionable characters like ‘kalia’, ‘Mantri’ and ‘Tantri’. He writes cartoons, not just for fun. They carry moral values. They create role models for children. They ultimately shape the mind of many an Indian child. Who is your favourite ‘comic’ cartoonist?
