I think that to have a successful business such as an online store, you have to be hands-on and try to give the business as much time as you can. I have an online friend who sells clothes and accessories online and even though she have a website for the business, she also created a Facebook account and she gets lots of orders through it. She also accept different forms of payment that's why it's easy for people to buy stuff from her.
