Why is Kings Punjab XI still sticking with Sreesanth??

Yet another bad performance from Sreesanth and still Punjab kings XI is sticking with him. don't know what's the management thinking. I think Sreesanth is one of the most unreliable Indian bowler and he has proved this fact again again. His figures in the last 2 matches read: 3-0-42-0 and 4-0-51-0 aggregating to 7-0-93-0. Sreesanth is a gud bowler only for test cricket where the main motive is to take wickets but he is not suitable for ODIs and certainly not for T20s. what are your views?

Looks like they have made up their mind that they do not want to win or even come in the top 6. I suppose this match they have not k him in the playing eleven but then I really feel that there are in no ways winning this match.

At last they decided to leave out Sreesanth and the result seems to be good. Both the new bowlers in the playing XI - Powar and theron performed well and the overall bowling unit looked in a better shape. but it was another very bad show put up by the KPXI's batsmen and i hope that the star-studded lineup performs in future.

Hello abhi333,I agree you with you that the recent form of Sreesanth is poor..However to rate him as a test Bowler is a bit unfair. The kind of bowler that Sreesanth is he will go for runs as he attacks the batsman and tries to extract seam and swing movement..He is a bit like Waqar Younus without the pace that Waqar used to generate..and as we all know that to get swing the bowler must pitch the ball up which gives the batsman a chance to play their shots..However I agree with you that with a little bit of consistency and guidance from senior pros Sreesanth will be fine..at the present moment he is lacking self confidence and so it will be better for the KingsXI to rest him and give someone else a chance..But do they have any back up bowler?I have doubts.

Ya KingsXI, have got 2 fast bowlers from SA. one of them is Yousuf Abdullah and there is one more bowler who was the highest wicket taker in the recently finished T20 tournament in SA.

Hi abhi, I do think that shreesanth is not suitable for any kind of cricket, you are very right that he is the most unreliable and irresponsible bowler in indian side, I don't like his attitude in the game and off the game, what he does outside doesn't matter but inside (in ground) he doesn't have any strategy that how to bowl or how to stop runs. So I think he needs a session to take rest and think about his game plan.

i completely agree with you that he hasn't got any kind of game-plan. among all the bowlers in the world, he has the best seem position at the time of release but it seems he always remain confuse regarding line and length. if he could just pitch the ball in right area, he could be one of the most dangerous bowlers like he proved himself to be in the tour of South Africa back in 2005.
