I have a mylot friend who is going on a trip to Morocco and Spain so to be nice and to help her out i decided to find out what the currency was for each country and i found out for Morocco it is called the Moroccan Dirham and it uses the abbreviation of MAD for it so i thought that was kind of interesting and for Spain they use the Euro.
The Euro is worth about 1.35 compared to our dollar
The MAD is worth a lot less then the dollar about 8.19 to one us dollar.
Which got me to thinking how many different currencies there are in the world and how many of them does everyone know about?
I had no clue about the Moroccan money and i thought it was kind of interesting to find out how it was referred to.
Anyone had any travel having to use these types of currency would love to hear about it.

If you have checked out China, you will find that this funny country has three currencies.
Macau and Hong Kong, even though returned to China long ago, have retained their existing currencies. And since they are part of China now, Yuan is still acceptable.
I dont know how anyone can trade with three currencies in one country. If China appreciates the Yuan, I think those folks living in Hong Kong and Macau will have a hard time adjusting too.

that is very interesting see I would not have known that I do not have a lot of knowledge when it comes to foreign currencies since I have not traveled out of my own country, but it is always interesting to learn more about world currencies and what each different country uses.
thanks for your reply.
