Obama's NCAA Bracket Picks & his totally hilarious lack of ability to spell!

United States

Ok, who has seen the ESPN Barrack-Etology that they run constantly where Obama makes his NCAA Bracket picks? Now pay close attention... the president of the United States (yes I know he's human but he's the PRESIDENT for God's sake) actually misspells SYRACUSE! LOL He writes it as: Syacuse What makes me really laugh is the LACK of anyone calling attention to it while if it were Bush (and NO I"m not a BUSH lover) they would have been all over that AND making fun of him. Why is this moron any different? Another version of the press sucking up to him... gotta wonder HOW or WHAT he's done to get such POSITIVE press all the time?

He omits one letter in one word and he's a moron? Oookaaay... I believe it took a while before people started pointing out Bush's mistakes.

No, he was a moron long before that. I believe where our economy stands is one of many reasons for that. Or perhaps the fact that billionaires and the banks they run got billions handed to them while our elderly and disabled got NOTHING this year in pay raises. But we did'nt see a whole lot on THAT decision did we? If it made the news for 24 hours that was long. Again, why is this man any different and the press totally ignores it? Instead they seek him out as a "basketball pro" and give him press for his "bracketology" skills? But lets not diss THIS prez eh? Come on, you know as well as anyone else that had it been ANYONE else they would have been on it like white on rice but with this one... we ignore anything he does that's wrong and glorify all he does, right OR wrong. Our press is biased plain and simple.

FYI, EoE, it was an INTERVIEW, not a speech by the president, and if Brett Behr had not "interrupted" with a few questions, it would have been a speech. Brett was just doing his job, and a darn good job, at that.

Yes, the economy was doing so well before he was elected. I think you're watching the wrong stations on television. I understand that there are some that rip apart everything Obama and his administration do. Ask around, I'm sure someone here will point you in the right direction.

This has nothing to do with him being "good".. it has to do with being viewed as an idiot of which any other president would have been tarnished, whipped and thrown to the wolves immediately yet this one seems to be able to do what he wants without anyone saying a word. I'm sorry, a man or woman in that position should, especially when he knowingly is being televised, taped and in the public eye, present himself slightly better and spell Syracuse correctly... but even more than that... the press needs to decide they should use the same rules for everyone. I'd just like to know why THIS man seems exempt from their terror.

The fact that you pointed out how the press would be all over Bush is a good reason to not make a big deal. Every body makes mistakes and it is time for somebody to be "the better man".

i think its just a simple error. nothing to read to much into. i really dont like Obama and I still would let him pass on this no problem.

Boy, you better spellcheck everything you put on Mylot from now on. lol I wouldn't get bent about it. F. Scott Fitgerald was a notoriously bad speller but one of the greatest American writers. (Possibly the greatest) So, if a titan of literture can get away with bad spelling, surely a politician can. Were you a Dan Quayle lover? He was the only politician I can remember being scolded for spelling but as I recall, he corrected a child. Unfortunately, the kid was right and Qualye was wrong and that's a bit different than an all too common spelling error.

Oops, I just realized that I mispelled literature. Guess that makes me a total moron in your book but I actually minored in English Lit. lol

Obama didn't misspell anything. Our presidents rarely write anything other than their signature. Their personal and/or press secretary do all the writing for them. The real difference between presidents is how they speak. G.W.B. proved time and time again he doesn't have a good command of the English language. That is why everyone gave him a hard time. "Why is this moron any different? Another version of the press sucking up to him..." With comments like that it's easy to see how you feel towards Obama and that you're still hurt knowing that Bush totally screwed up our country as much as he could and was truly an imbecile. ‹(°¿°)›

I agree with you, hockeygal, presidents should know how to spell. If they spell a word wrong, it is wrong. This is, I think, a case of the Emperor has no clothes, where Obama is concerned.

there are several things I won't critisize him for, among these things are his smoking...and his spelling. Anyone who has spent any time on here knows my inability to spell, even if my life depends on it. that being said...yes...if this had been G.W. it would be all over MSNBC and CNN.
