Possesiveness in any friendship is common, but overloading of possesiveness will only lead to hate and fight and this is common to love also? smaller mistakes also becoming a big issue between relationships, how to handle if any friend/lover of us is very much possesive about us? how to convince them?

Just be honest in telling them that you're not happy to how they became so possessive to you. I once experience having a possessive boyfriend and he was terrible. If I continue having relationship with him, it makes me feel like I'm risking my life.

Yes eLsMarie, its correct, I am going to tell that to him, sometimes it is irritating and do not know how to tell that to them because I am afraid if we go and say like this, they will get hurt...

If he takes your honesty as an insult on his part, I don't think he's worth it.

I do not think possessiveness in a friendship is common. I think it is unhealthy. When people get possessive, there are bigger issues involved.
