Why does Lady Gaga call her fans "Little Monsters"?

Well its what she calls her fans. For example, KISS have the KISS army and Whitesnake have the Whitesnake Choir. It just a nickname for their fans thats all.

She probably thinks that she is also a monster, in her own special way so, for her fans, she also calls them monsters or her little monsters. I think its working out well for her image (^_^")

Hi cecille, I really don't know the answer, but maybe because her CD is titled "The Fame Monster", so the ones who loves her music were called "little monsters." hehehe it's just my theory. I like her songs! She might be weird, but weird is definitely working for her.

Whatever her deal is, it is most definitely working for her. I'm not crazy about her, but you have to admit her songs are fun and catchy. That's what she's really good at....fun and catchy. Have you seen the "Telephone" video with Beyonce?

coz she's the Queen Monster?..haha.. what i love about Lady GaGa is that she has this rare sense of individuality, i know she's a good person deep inside, it's just that her brand of music is more of the "monstrous" side..but i love her saw her interview on Oprah and she's still human like everyone of us..lol..i mean, come on, its 2010 already..and her music is some sort of revolutionary..

little monsters ia just a way of addressing her fans.. lol =D MAybe it's the way, they are mobbing her, and always being violent etc, trying to get close to her or whatever.. lol =D IT's good for her, because it means she's well loved by her fans, and her popularity is soaring high now!! lol =D

she got the idea from me during our last phoen conversation. it went something like this... lady gaga: hi! may i speak with allen? allen: this is he. who is this please? lady gaga: it's lady gaga. allen: hi. what's up? lady gaga: i've been meaning to ask you... allen: (cuts lady gaga abruptly) we've been through this before lady, i told you, i don't want to see you. you just ain't my type. lady gaga: no... it's not that allen. i still miss you and honestly, i still like you and have feeligns for you but i think i can live with that. i have my music, my career, my fame, and my fans to keep me pre-occupied... allen: (cuts lady gaga again abruptly) then what it is this time? i have tiger on the other line, so hurry up! lady gaga: i'm thinking about a name for my fans and since i can't think of any, maybe you can them for me. allen: try little monsters. it suits you. hahaha! lady gaga: ok then, thanks. i'll try to think of them like our young ones should we end up having a family allen. allen: in your dreams lady. i need to get back to tiger. i'm writing his statement for his win in augusta. so there...

Okay, here's the deal: Lady Gaga is pretty darn weird. Seriously, all your have to do to confirm this is look at the outfits she wears, the songs she writes, the music videos, and of course just listen to her talk. She's very strange. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I mean of course, power to her and her strangeness. But don't ask "why" she does something. I don't think there is a reason. I don't think her being pagan and calling people little monsters are in any way connected (if she is pagan... that sounds just like a rumor to me but it wouldn't suprise me if it were true. Nothing Lady Gaga does will surprise me anymore.) I don't think you should take too much offense to the term "little monster". It's probably just the way she's chosen to affectionately dub her fans.

Lady gaga is just weirdd...idk maybe she likes that word. i mean her cd name is Fame Monster. Yea, i DO like a few of her songs, they're catchy, and I love how she has such edgy looks. looks like she came off a runway. but I HATE her!!! She is such a little u know what. y does she have to show off her body in every video?? n act all like b*tch i rule the world. I think she just has to compensate with showing off a great body for her ugly face.

to be honest, i dont like the idea from anybody would call me a little monster fan! i think the same like you. i really like the songs by her, but i think that the gaga fame uped on his brain faster.. if i like somebody call me monster, would be becuasei said i like it depending from the people who come.. but i think thatt this is faster, and this would be not end in a good way.. sorry gaga fans, im one of them, but i think this.. but this not meaning i woulnt listen any song starting tomorrow, because i like the songs and i believe that she is a good singer with a special power and she must use this power, but in a good way perhaps..

and I'd like better call her "mama monster" because we are her fans that she call "little monster"!

lol, never knew that, is that for sure? Well I guess it's because she's a monster inside as well =D Don't you agree? I do think Lady Gaga has some weird videos and concepts there, so I am not surprised to hear that but generally I don't believe rumours .. :)

I don’t know about pagan and little monster. I admire lady gaga that is why I drop by here. I love all the popular songs playing on the radio coming from her. I even sing it whenever I am stressed and even dancing with it. About little monster maybe that is her own way of being sweet with her fans, calling them such names. I don’t get why her beautiful fans called as monsters, but I respect her and I don’t have any problem with that.

That i cannot tell you. But i think it is funny. And if she is a pagan that is her problem not mine. I love her music, but that is where it end. I really don't care what she is, it is her talent in music that impress me. TATA.

I think, the reason is that Lady Gaga is a Satanist. My sister told me that Lady Gaga is a Satanist. She told me, that on the interview, Lady Gaga admitted that she is an anti-christ, and she is a Satanist. I do not know if it is true and maybe that is the reason, they called her a little monsters. Most of the songs are dedicated to Lucifer --- I do not know. I think, the song is a form of a prayer.
