hardest thing to repair a virus infected pc / myLot

I been repairing my own pc for a long time and last year was my worst experience. I was infected by a virus that until now I didn't know the name of it. My 160gb harddisk was put to waste because my bios no longer detect its drive.

the best thing to do is start all over by reinstalling your windows cd, and all the other programs on the computer. it is a headache, but that is the only thing i can think of to do.

oh my god.. that is not a good news.. you can try other OS like linux based one and viruses do not run on this platform..

The bios is everything, the viruses that effect the bios is the worst i guess, i am lucky i have never had such a virus attack.

i tink all you need is a very good updated antivirus which offers the feature to scan the MBR(MASTER BOOT RECORD)... kasperksy and avira(which is free) are very good mbr scanners
