I timetabled my entire saturday night, devoting it to finishin my case paper. To achieve that I bought myself an early cup of coffee to get me all percolated for the late night I'm about to have, I got a venti sized caramel macchiato non fat with an extra shot of espresso. The night breezed by without me realizing that it was waay past 4am and I started to work at around 9-ish earlier that evening. SO, I opted to have a power nap just so I can relax my thoughts a bit. I was practically shaking. Could it have been the coffee that caused it? Or was I just really, psycosomatically, physically and mentally exhausted?

Caffiene and sugar will give you a huge energy rush but the downside is when it wears off and you feel tired, weak and shaky. I must admit that I cannot get going in the morning without my coffee, it's the energy rush I need to start the day, but I won't drive coffee after 6pm at night otherwise I would never get any sleep

Well, there's a days worth of sugar in large cups of caramel macchiato and the amount of caffeine that was in the coffee was probably enough to hold you over for a long time. The combination of the caffeine and sugar made you shaky; drinking some water and getting some rest will make you feel better.

hi you were on a sugar high from the caramel macchiato non fat the coffee would perk you up but all that sugar pushed your blood glucose up level toa diabetics worst nightmare, then dumped you into low blood sugar, thats where the shaking comes from . its a really unpleasant senstation too as I have been there and done that. Also you are exhausted so get a little sleep and no more sugary coffees, just plain coffee would have been much better for your system. Also when you have some spare time drop in to your doctor to have a diabetic check up done if you have not had one done in a long time. your reaction to that sugary drink might show you are prediabetic.
