Hi, Mylotters!
I really want to know what will happened to our discussion if it is similar with others' discussion? I have started a new discussion today. but then I knew that my discussion was already exist four years ago. Even we have same tag! I'm really embarrassing but I really didn't know till I submit my tag. So, will you tell me what will happen to my discussion? will admin delete it? thanks for giving me answers. GBU.

hell0! I am really not sure if there is something mentioned in the FAQ'z and the GL about it, but i think if it is really very similar even in the title then I think it will be deleted like the discussions about that which came first- the chicken or the egg. but if the title is different and the contents is a little bit different or you have added something different then i think it will not be deleted!
well, if your discussions is similar to another from more than 2-3 years ago, I think it won't be deleted, but am not sure enough :)

Hi, phoenix! admin has been deleted my discussion not only it's similar with another discussion but also because my discussion is not just a discussion but it's kinda of a game. so it won't allowed to be discussed in this site. it's ok. it made me learn one more thing about mylot.

I am really not aware of the similar discussions. I myself had made discussions similar to others. Still, I'm unaware if it shall be deleted or just let it be. Let's wait for some pioneers to respond on this matter.

In the Guidelines we are told to search for existing topics before starting one of our own. Repeated topics are deleted and we should start original, innovative topics.
We can use the searchbar above to search and even receive a reward while doing so.

That particular discussion was deleted because it was a game and not a discussion.
If you check your mail you will see the reason for the deletion in the notification.

that's often I experienced, makes a discussion topic that was already there ... but, believe me, I think myLot admin will not delete discussions you have created because of the fact, my discussion have never deleted unless which breaking the rules

It wasn't happened to me mr. cos admin has been already deleted my discussion. but it's alright cos I have understood why he deleted my discussion. if you wanna know why, you may read diana's answer above your response in this discussion. thank you.

i guess its members responsibility to be aware of whats going on here in mylot and by doing that of course we need to read topic from different interest. like what happened before, in the same interest i saw two similar topic created with just a few minutes after the first one. its irritated to think that other members dont bother to care as long as they can post their own topic if they can just add something to the first topic. besides its just a minutes away and not for months nor year. if its for a month or year then maybe but just for minutes and day oh well. anyway, i also created a similar topic but not to the same interest but to other interest but the title is quite different and not a carbon copy.

yeah, you're right, Home..but I think Mylot users won't be that things like that. I mean, it's yes that we should check whether our desired topic has been discussed before or not. but I'm sure that we don't have much time doing that. so what we prefer to do is just starting a discussion and we never think whether it's has been discussed or not. but I agree that it's sometimes bothering moreover when they started those similar discussion only in minutes..yeah, maybe it's because starting a discussion is not easy at all sometimes..:)

are you sure that it will be deleted by admin? mmmm..I don't think so. I ever started a discussion about using English in Mylotting. I started about two years ago. and then, someday, I saw a similar discussion which discussed about the similar topic, it is the using of English in Mylotting. from the title, I was sure that our discussion was just the same..but, the discussion is still there till today. maybe because we put the discussion in different interest so it is allowed, or maybe we tag different word or phrase so it's allowed..

HI,what a big deal.Though you started a similar discussion,there has more new mylotters who did't know the discussion 4 years ago.Don't disappointed about that.New mylotters are keen on the discussion you started,they would never recover the old one.The same discussion st different times have different reply.

I agree with you, Lainy..I think Mylot will allow us to start a similar discussion as long as the discussion is not stealing from other Mylotters..LOL..I mean, no discussion is same each other, rite? they're maybe similar but they must have something difference, like the key word they ta, or maybe the interest they put discussion in..so it's okay to start a similar discussion..:)
