Are the batsmen loosing their mind in the super-overs?

Yesterday, IPL saw the first super-over of the third season but the shot-selection of some of the batsmen is in doubt. We know that one has to score the maximum possible amount of runs but players like Hayden and Raina are capable of doing it without slogging the ball blindly. they both lost their wickets to poor shots and CSK made only 9 runs. But what was more disturbing was the response of KPXI. After hitting six off the first ball, KPXI needed only 4 runs off 5 balls. they could have made those runs easily without resorting to any kind of risks, but first Jayawardane lost his wickt trying to hit another six, then yuvraj almost lost his wicket trying to play sweep shot of the third delivery and hit a boundary of the 4th ball using a reverse sweep which he very rarely uses and which could have gone wrong and have resulted in the loss for KPXI. so what do u think that batsmen should be more responsible in superovers or not?

May be because of pressure they have...they know their team wining depends upon him...if he is fail to score good runs..then chances of loosing match is high....Actually yuvi plays sensible games in super overs because there is fear of getting out if they stroke the bowl as he did before super over..as he is last wicket no one is behind him...And one think u had notice yesterday he sweeps in that manner if the bowl touches his leg not get out as LBW...little bit far from wickets...have a nice day...

I think you're right that he might not have got out LBW on the sweep or the reverse sweep but still these are high risk shots and with 4 runs required of 4 balls, these could have been avoided. if punjab would have been batting first, then that would have been more reasonable as then the main aim would have been to score maximum runs. but here the main aim was to reach the target and win the match.
