Sand & Beach

That sounds so lovely! I live in San Diego and the beaches are great here. I love how the huge waves hit the shore, so, instead of swimming, you kind of spend the whole time in the water jumping the big waves! I love that! You get your exercise and the water is sooooo cool. I'm originally from Michigan and lived an hour away from Lake Michigan. The Great Lakes are.........GREAT! LOL! You can do more swimming in them because they are calmer waters. Then I moved to St Pete/Clearwater, Florida and for 9 years was used to swimming in the Gulf of Mexico AND the water is so warm. Now I'm here in San Diego (for about 17 years now) and the Pacific Ocean is much rougher AND colder! LOL! I haven't been to the beach in such a loooong time and would love to go again. I am hoping to head to the beach this summer for sure. I would love to go now if I could get away with it. It must be very nice to live close to the beach.

Hi dorisday, I believe you and your family had had a happy and wonderful day at beach yesterday. It is a best way to escape the summer heat having fun in the cool and tranquil water. Sand playing is also another interesting activity for kids at the beach Here we can visit the nearby beach at anytime we wish for we are in the tropical rain forest region. But we avoid to have fun along the east coast beaches by the end of the year, for we might face the risk of the tremendous storm as well as the heavy surge brings by the northeast monsoon. My husband and I like sitting on the huge rock enjoy watching the fascinating seascapes as well as watching people having fun there. I usually like sitting under the shade to avoid getting suntan Have a nice day

I probably won't get to the beach as much as I would like too this summer. Last summer I was living in Virginia and my daughter and I would go to the beach for the day, Virginia Beach. I have always loved the ocean, lived near the beach in South Texas for 20 years. It is now a 6 - 7 hour drive if I wanted to go. However, I now live close to a lake, so that will probably be my alternative this summer. And I have a friend that has a boat.

I hope so, it's about a 3 hour drive each way so it's an all day trip for us. It's very hard for us to get away that long, we have to have someone come and feed our animals so usually one of us stays home and the other goes with friends or family.

Hello doris on my part I like beach but not at this time of season. It is so hot that it could almost burn you out. I hate too sunny day, I would prefer to be in the beach on a cloudy and windy days. Maybe, if no other choice I could but not in the beach I like it at the spring or in a very clean river...sounds weird?he hehe Enjoy your beach time friend... Mobhomier here...
