that sentence is a claim !!
tell me what do you think about it , is't right or wrong !!
evaluate that sentence according to your taste and
support ur opinion ??
sentence :
" Animals should not be eaten as a part of our diet
because they not only have a right to life but raising animals for
food entails too much suffering for them "

thanks once again you are appearting in mylot in a short span of time,i too agree with you,we should not eat animals and should not kill animals for food
,we have let them to be alive,we have changed our food habits to vegetarian food not non veg food,Mahatama Gandhi said then itself,take only vegetarian food,have a nice day

so you agree with that sentence

but i disagree coz
animals are here around us most of them to help
or to show us how God the creator create them beautifully
and some to be eaten !!
and speaking about Mahatma Gandi with all my respect
all Hindu got what he meant wrongly , coz at his time
when people started killing most of animals
and birds in the forest he said that "shall all animals
live in peace " didn't say verbally and by a
sentence that all Hindu must stop eating them !!
so yugasini are u Hindu ??? by the way I'm Muslim

thanks for the comment,i think you re appearing in the mylot once in blue moon,but this time twice in the bluemoon,i am Hindu and pure vegetarian,i did not agree to kill animals,every body should change the eating habits and they should eat only vegetarian food only

Hello Novelist_117! Well, just don't think in the poor cow or chicken that you are eating and everything would be OK!
Sometimes I agree is not cool that animals suffer or are only raised to be our food. But the truth is that I do eat meat so its not a big issue for me.
What about you? Do you agree or disagree with that sentence?

well I think that some animals are created to be eaten
,help human and show us how our god the creatore
create them in a good way
most of them we need for our health and others for our work
like people in farms.
every thing in the life has purpose so why there are
exist !! even trees have purpose if we don't eat most
of them so why do we plant the rest !! this is the idea

ya I like what you said here libna 
eating vegetables doesn't mean wrong and so do eating
meat all of them are all right !!
but what makes me wonder still people think that eating
meat is taking animals rights !!

Its so nice you believe in God. I also think he created everything with a purpose, maybe we can't understand his ways, but I also think some animals are intended to be our source of nutrients.
Where I live people barely eat meat, it's expensive, they are not used to it, they eat lots and lots of herbs, veggies and fruits. Also tortillas made with corn and chili sauce. Believe it or not they are much healthier that most city people. I mean, not only for meat, but frozen or can food, soda and you know, everything!
There's where I see God has absolutely nothing to do with all those diseases such as cancer, diabetes, etc... Its human kind on its own.

I do not agree with this sentence in most instances. I believe that God gave us animals for food. Animals have been used for food since the beginning of time. However, I do not feel that all animals are meant to be food. There are some animals that are being killed for food that I am very much opposed to. For example, I have heard more and more stories lately about people killing dogs and eating them. This horrifies me. I could never kill and eat my dogs. There are so many other animals that are meant as food sources and no matter where a person lives, chickens can live and thrive in nearly any area. I think that some people take great care with their animals that they raise for food and I do not believe that these animals suffer at all. I think it is the uneducated, heartless people that make animals suffer and has nothing to do with whether they will be used for food or not.

is not normally eaten !! like dogs pooooor,I heard even
cats , my little brother's cats disappeared once
and we discovered lately that they were eaten by Cambodians
workers who work in the town near us !!
OH !! so you know what happen then !!
our neighbor called the municipal government !!
this is really insane , some people misunderstood what
kind of animal to eat !!

I have to disagree with that sentence. There is a hirarchy of life and in the food pryamid we rate right up there at the top. It is the old adage "eat or be eaten". And as far as animals being raised for food and suffering this is not necessarily true either. People must be wise in the places that they choose to shop and boycott buying meats from those places that are know to use farms and slaughter houses that treat the animals inhumanely.

hell0! well, i also thin that it is not appropriate because we actually need meat because of the vitamins and the proteins it contains and no one can convince me, that we can get those vitamins from other foods, because the meat is really the best source of some vitamins ans it is really natural for human beings to eat meat

I definitely disagree with this statement because humans have been eating animals since Adam and Eve. In fact, God desired them as sacrifices. If God sees no harm in eating animals, then why should we?
