Everything is Illuminated

Hi all, I have just started reading this book. My daughter loaned it to me. It is talking me a while to get used to the author's voice, but I am enjoying it. Any opinions out there?

I really enjoyed the book once I got into it. Once I did, I couldn't put it down. I have yet to read anything else by the author, though.

So, do you have a sense of what you found so interesting? What made it such that it was difficult to put down?
