Charice... pop princess?

I watched The Buzz last Sunday and they labeled Charice as a pop princess. I'm really an avid fan of Britney Spears though her image at present wasn't really that good. I find her much talented and deserving because she's the only artist who sold millions during the release of her first album... I think it reach up to more or less than 14 million copies sold. I find Charice fine, we'll she's a pride of the Philippines but I don't that she's really that versatile. I don't know but I'm totally against of it...

I thought that name belong to Sarah Geronimo? if Charisse is the pop princess, what's sara's? Personally, i see nothing wrong with it. People in showbiz really love to give names to celebrities, especially singers. I think there are more funnier names than pop princess. I think it's one way for them to promote the artist. Charice has proven that she has what it takes to be recognized and make it to the US. I bet a lot of singers are envious because of the attention she recieved. But the more recognition they received they harder it is for them. I just hope that charisse can take it in stride and won't give in to the pressure and hopefully live up to the expectation.

Well Sarah is okay... She's a better singer and a natural actress. I think Sarah was labeled as the next concert queen because Pops was willing to give it to Sarah. Well I just hope that Charice will remain humble because from what I see, she's already influenced so much by Western countries... I don't know

I really love watching Ellen Degeneres' show... But I haven't watched the show when Charice was her guest. Sarah G was really versatile. They can be easily compared but no matter how many Hollywood celebrities would want to be with Charice, I'm not really a fan of her... I don't why.

It's a blessing for Charisse to be discovered by Ellen and later Oprah because if they haven't Charisse won't have a chance to make it big here in the Philippines. She's too small and she haven't got the looks either. As long as Sarah G is around, charisse will always be a nobody. What made her a hit in the US is her looks, her cuteness and the hell of a voice that goes with it, i guess they haven't thought that charisse got a voice that powerful behind the cute little girlie appearance.

i think charice is a versatile singer. she can sing any genre of songs with her powerful voice. she is also a good actress and she is good in dancing as well.
i really love charice, because shes a total performer. i think she may justify to be a pop princess in the near future.

hi there elsMarie, hmmm well charice is a good singer really but like you said she is not versatile. a great advantage of charice is she performs well with all the heavy feelings and foreigners like that.. But for a filipino taste for her to be a pop princess..I dont quite agree.

hey you have to be proud of charice. you dont have to get affected by that. it is only a label to her. this is you should think why should you got affected on it? does britney got affected on that? though i dont like charice she deserves it. and charice is a better singer than britney spears.

I think you're the one who's more affected... I find Britney way much better though she committed a lot of wrong acts. I do understand her. I'm not really proud of her. She was gifted with a strong voice but nothing really spectacular for me. So it's best of you'll respect my opinion as I respect yours...

I'm an avid fan also of Britney Spears, and Charice is okay, not a fan of her at all... I know she got talent but she's not appealing to me somehow and yup I noticed it too the western influence.

Well as you said those are just labels that is included in her as part of her packaging as an emerging singer. I really think you need not be bothered about it as she is I believe to have the potential of being one in the near future. It will depend on how she will carry that label as she goes on with her career.
