Hayden, after the match against Delhi daredevils said that the Mongoose bat gives more power.Hayden scored a scintillating 93 of just 43 balls to help his side to achieve the target of 186. "It is always good to try out new products. The mongoose bat is a good product as its gives you lot of power to hit the ball a long way"—he said. Yousuf Pathan made a great knock of 100 from just 37 balls using normal bat. When he was asked about this he said "Bat not matters, how hard we hit the ball matters".He also said that he just sees the ball and hit it hard and different bat won't help if you didn't see the ball". I agree what Yousuf Pathan said. But it is good try out new things, right ? When you see Hayden batting against Delhi he just smashed it all over the ground. But when he played against Punjab he got bowled in the Super over with his Mongoose bat.Because when the balls comes low it will be difficult to bat with Mongoose bat because it is somewhat small. Do you think that Mongoose bat will play a big part in future ..? I don't think so..what you think and share your views..

hi friend.i wanted to start with one question. why is it that its the batsmen that bring these innovations to cricket? i heard some fellow used alluminium bat once. everybody knew that players are cheating with their bat using different woods in the same bat. now you got the mongoose. yet the bowlers are using the same old ball that hasnt changed a bit. if batsmen can bring any kinda bat to play, why not allow the bowlers with a old soft ball which doesnt come on to the bat easily and reverse swings as well? does it breaches the so called ICC's code? back to your discussion. i dont think so.indian batsmen finds it very difficult to play with the mangoose bat. our batsmen play with straight bat and only a very few batsmen got the knack to hit the ball from the sweet spot as they call it.the rest usually finds the ball hitting high up in the bat. how many times we have seen sehwag get nick from the top of the bat and get out? it wont stay for long.

Ya, I agree it won't stay long. Coming back to your question. It is not bad to test new things.Whether there is any rules that we should use only one kind of bat.If so then I agree. And it is individual's interest I think. If he feels comfortable in playing with Mongoose bat and ICC also accepts that means then he can play as he wish. If Mongoose bat was invented at the start of cricket then most of the players will be using. It is new.So some can go with it and some may not. And soft ball, do you think the ball will travel over the boundary in the open ground where lot of air comes...?

Ya, you are right.Players can use in T20 for scoring more runs. But they have to get trained in that as well.
