The cellphones have become so much essential that there is no guy almost from a child to an elder all of them are carrying mobiles with them. It has become a need in our daily life like food, clothes, shelter. Even while sleeping it will be beside us. We are loosing our privacy where ever we go we get disturbed with cellphones. Before with land phones it was like only when we were at home or at office used to attend and when we were away anywhere outside used to have peace of mind. Now where ever we go we receive calls from office, or known people and get disturbed. Because of this cellphones the coming generations may even forget the spellings because of short form of SMS...even writing letters none are doing it. The flavor of writing letters, replying them really it's a great feeling, experience..which we can't put it in words. Nowadays where no one is writing actually where is the need to write a letter everything gets over with a sms or call..that too many companies are offering many offers like per minute this much, out of state no roaming....etc,. But than advantages there are more disadvantages.....because of the radiations from cellphone there are chances of getting brain tumors, even more hair fall, pregnancy ladies getting aborted..etc,. better to use a land phone.....but who is going to listen.....What you people say....thank you

rorisricha, cell phone is here to stay and getting more advanced and oh so sophisticated. who ever bothers about the medical fear or problems. its so much needed and a neccessity nowadays to communicate and relate to each other, either family members, friends , colleagues and office etc. cell phones provide all kinds of functions and facilities. at the end, whether you like it or not, most studying and working people are using handphones in their daily works. how to overcome these medical hazards.

It had become necessity but at times when not in need also using is wrong i feel. As it is in the hand even though not in need they go on using like for time pass....such things can be avoided.

yes rorisricha, i agree with you at times it is not necessary to use. just because it is readily in our bag or hand, we keep on using without limits. at the end, there are many so called 'slaves' to cellphones. and mind you, its expensive and it is not good for the brain and head too.

It's a new world. The world is changing. This is the same with manual calligraphists like me are no longer sought after because computers have taken our place. But what can we do? It's the world, and it is fast changing... The only thing we can do is adapt.

I did not get a cellphone till I was 50 years old. I had it for two years due to the contract and gave it up. I was getting to much pain in my head above my year. I would have to use the phone on speaker which can be annoying. I'm back to my landline and I'm much happier. The cellphone industry can keep their phones and its just a matter of time they will realize the dangers that they have bestowed up the people. I believe along with cellphones is the computer with email that has contributed to lack of handwriting a letter to anyone.

U R right rorisricha and it is very sad about that.Even I too became very very bad, because I was the best handwriting student in the school, but bemuse of the latest developments I have stopped writing and now my handwriting is worst than a KG class boy. I am feeling very much for that. There were days when I used to spend at least Rs 100/- towards postal letters but now a big N I L. I feel a day will come when we will be missing to see a pen.......
