for me i go back to times i spent with my dad a lot of the times as some of those times are associated with other things.
I remember when i was a kid the first time i really listened to music was when i went to watch my dad bowl and they really didn't have a lot of a kid to do there but they had a jukebox and i remember some of the songs that was in it.
Total Eclipse of the heart by Bonnie Tyler and Run to you by Bryan Adams were a couple of the songs that it had and i remember that being a time when i first started listening to songs so that was a really nice memory for me.
I remember a lot of my happy memories having to do with sports since i played a lot of baseball when i was a kid and it was not just because i was pretty good at it since a lot of the teams i played on were not that good, but to be able to play and have mom and dad come out to see you play that is always fun.
I remember going to a Yankees game with my dad and that was when it was just him and me we got to go on a bus to get there and even when the team wasn't so great they always seemed to win when we would go and that was a lot of fun, but now it is just so much to go to a game that we haven't gone in years when the price for a cup of beer is like 7.00 that is when my dad will draw a line and say it is not worth it.
What is your favorite memory?
I would like any story you have that goes with it too.

yeah i remember that when you have to be in before dark and have to go to bed by a certain time.
that is the one nice thing when we get older we can go to bed whenever we want to and not have to worry about the time as much as when we are younger unless we have to be to work early the next morning.
that sounds like a really nice memory thanks for sharing.

My fondest childhood memory is the first time I ever rode a horse. I used to go to special riding lessons for kids with disabilities. I always loved horses but never thought (because I have balance issues) that I could actually ride one. I'll never forget the first time I was up that high. Being disabled, I'm used to being shorter than everyone. But on the horse, I towered over everyone.

I have not had the opportunity to ride horses much as we did that one time when we were at this timeshare that my parents bought into and the one horse apparently didn't like the other too much and it knocked my mom off and she landed kinda hard, but she was alright, however she never wanted to do that again and her backside was sore for the rest of the time up there.
It is kind of nice to be high up like that, but I think you really need to be comfortable on a horse before you do any actual riding and all we did was some slow walking with the horses, but it was still fun except for mom.
we still go up there and feed the horses, but we don't go for rides anymore since that happened, but at the least it was memorable and for my mom not in a good way.
thanks for sharing
