Tendulkar says NO to playing in World T20 Cup

Sachin Tendulkar said 'I will not be playing the ICC World Twenty20. I have not played Twenty20 Internationals from 2007 onwards and I don’t think it should become an issue now'
Some of the former Indian Players were saying that Sachin should reconsider his decision of playing in T20 world cup. In that regard Sachin clarified his stand.
Personally I feel that Sachin has taken a wise decision!
Already India has won T20 world cup without Sachin once and if they fail this time, all will blame it on Sachin!
And Sachin's main Goal is to play in ODI World Cup 2011 and win it. So he is very clear about what he wants.

its time this selfish cricketer retired from the game. He may have created many records but i always considered him lesser than Dravid for the sole reason that Dravid is a crisis man and plays in all types of condtions and againt all opposition, But he hardly gets any appreciation. But this man always scores against minnow and get all the accolades.. let him retire

Hi Preethaanju!
I think the point is Sachin, Dravid etc senior players opted out of T20 in view of giving chance to youngsters.
And the youngsters won the World T20 cup in 2007.
So asking Sachin to play T20 now is somewhat illogical. Why nobody asked in 2007? And why now they want Sachin to play in T20 world cup?

@preethaanju-dont agree with u!Yes Dravid is a gr8 cricketor but Sachin is a legend too.And u cant accuse him for scoring runs only against minnows.Had this been true he wud not have been in the team!

lol.yesterday i went home and switched to the news channel and found something called BREAKING NEWS that too associated with tendulkar.within 2 seconds i went from injury to accident or retirement to find that sachin said he wont be playing T20 world cup this month and i asked myself WHAT THE HECK? HE SAID IT 3 YEARS AGO AND THIS IS THE BREAKING NEWS?lol
then it hit me.tendulkar did opt out of world cup the first time and he didnt fire that much in the first edition of IPL and comparitively better in the second edition.
but when the defending champions gets knocked out in the first stage of the tournament,you always try to find the problem.
and they believe sachin should have been in the squad when they didnt even question tendulkar opting out when they first won the world cup.
its unfortunate that tendulkar is in dangerous form this IPL and you can expect every former players asking tendulkar to play this tournament.
i consider that this was one of the best decisions tendulkar has ever made and he want to keep it that way.if one really respect him,then they should give him the space he need.happy mylotting

Sachin is a wise man.He shud stick to his decision.Although all his fans wud love watching him play T20 but still he is a man of principles.The Indian Team will surely manage the WC with him in the side.I wish him luck!

Yes I too saw this news...Kapil Dev was asking that why can't he play T20..
Now people can ask and if they didn't win the match means this stupid media will create something and make him trouble..So Sachin made a good decision..
His only aim as for now is to bring the World cup back in the limited overs cricket..So I wish him all the best.
And also there are lot of players waiting to enter.So the youngsters play the role now.Sachin already played for 20 yrs and still continuing...

Sachin had taken the correct decision.... He clearly said during the 1dt T20 world cup selection... He want to give chance to fellow new comers.... in Lat world cup Indian team came back without entering into Semis... so this time Sachin is in very good touch so all the ex-players are asking him to play which is unneccessary....
