Is Israel playing game risque with the US?

I just heard in the news that Netanyahu met Obama and in the midst there was another announcement of settlement building in East Jerusalem. Is this Joe Biden take two? Moreover, AIPAC met, and Hilary Clinton reminded them of the need to halt settlements, Netanyahu, flatly declared that occupied Jerasalem does not require any restrictions for the Jewish people to build on. Is this peaceful?

I'd really like to hear the word-for-word dialogue before declaring Israel is seeking conflict rather than peace. I don't think we have enough information to make any conclusions.

Just like we need to hear word for word from other world leaders, eg Ahmadinijad, before we make any conclusions.

I sincerely hope that the US actually lives by the principles it tries to apply to others and stands up to Israel on this occasion. I think the behaviour of the Israeli government (and people) is shocking. Frankly, their actions appear designed to provoke conflict, rather than peace.

Agreed, I think, Israel's current action can never amount to peaceful means
