Website needs backlinking

hi , I have started this discussion inorder to get help for backlinking my Website. I have recently designed a website which is not displaying in google search engine results.I was told that a website needs backlinking...????But the process is not know. How to backlink a website.Can anyone help me.

A backlink is a link to your website. You can go to discussion forums or other websites that let you write something on it, for example in a discussion, or you can add a comment to some news, etc and also add a link to your website. what ever your website name is , enter its full address, for example http://your-website-name.com look for forums, discussions or places to add backlinks on websites that have relation material to your website
