How many will die of the terrible disorder of no health care?

Whoops! Obamacare Doesn't Cover Pre-Existing Conditions Until 2014 ObamaCare will not protect children with pre-existing health conditions from being denied health coverage -- not until 2014. This despite endless talking points and promises to the contrary, the Associated Press reports: Under the new law, insurance companies still would be able to refuse new coverage to children because of a pre-existing medical problem, said Karen Lightfoot, spokeswoman for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, one of the main congressional panels that wrote the bill Obama signed into law Tuesday... Full protection for children would not come until 2014, said Kate Cyrul, a spokeswoman for the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, another panel that authored the legislation. That's the same year when insurance companies could no longer deny coverage to any person on account of health problems. Obama's public statements have conveyed the impression that the new protections for kids were more sweeping and straightforward. http://www.thefoxnation.com/business/2010/03/24/whoops-obamacare-doesnt-cover-pre-existing-conditions-until-2014 Does it not seem a bit fishy that the tax will start right away but the coverage not for four years? People are dying for crying out loud! At least that is what I heard....

the problem is that you've been given a half-backsided version of public healthcare. If it was a really public system the government would own and fund hospitals directly - hence pre-existing conditions would be treated.

good point But before this bill, ANYBODY could get care in America. There are indigent programs and a fund at all hospitals to cover this. No ER would turn you away.

They intend to suck up all the money and that's about it. Anyone who thinks it will be there is sadly mistaken.
