NBC News: Health Care Lawsuits Are Like Civil War Secession http://www.thefoxnation.com/health-care-reform/2010/03/24/nbc-news-health-care-lawsuits-are-civil-war-secession Do you think this will cause irreparable damage? Do you see our country truly dividing? Possibly splitting? Do you think we will still be the United States of America when this is done?

Another idiot that says anything done or said against anything obama does or say is a "racist". Basically agree with EVERYTHING he says or does ...or be labled a racist. It is the stupidest arguement I have ever heard. I did not agree with everything ANY president or politican has said or done. This is about states standing up for their rights and powers given to them by the constitution of this country. That is it. The feds have violated it...the states are standing up for themselves. Now do I think this will cause a divide...yes. Why? Well because Obama and a lot of democrats do not believe in state's rights. They believe that the feds should have all the power and that states none. Why have state governments if they don't have the power to make the laws of their state? So one group wants the feds to tell the staets what they will and won't do. While the other side believes in state's rights and the division of power as laid out in the constitution of this country. They want the state governments to actually be able to use their rights and powers and not have it stripped from them. So these two sides are going to battle it out. Personally I am pro state's rights. So I hope the state's win. Both sides are willing to fight and battle it out...so it will get ugly and rough. If we just followed the constitution...we would not have this problem.

I agree, I do not think the Constitution is antiquated. If our representatives that are in their position due to the Constitution, would do whats right, I dont think we would have this division.

I think this will cause a lot of division in our nation. The fact that 2/3 of the public did not want it, made it known it wasn't wanted and yet the politicians did what they wanted to any way was a hit to the American Psyche. Blatant neglect of the people. I think what will happen is that when the next big elections come around there will be another over swing putting too many republicans in office where much of this will be over turned and a whole lot of money wasted and mess on top of more mess. I personally am just going to try to keep my head above water, and hope I get to retire in my old age.

lol good plan. I am working every day to keep from being dependent upon the government. I believe in the American Dream and want to be left alone to pursue it!
