for education is very important to each and every person, and that would depends also on the mindset of a person itself. its different if you did not finished any course because you will having a hard time to find job. not unlike if you finished a course, you can apply to any job description as long as you think you can do it and you are capable of it. like in my case, i took BSED mathematics even if i dont like it but still i finished it just for the sake of having a degree. and right now, i can apply to any company because all they want is you finished a degree. thats how important education is. this is my personal view guys. what about you? do you think education is important do us? im not telling also that education is the key of success, of course not because there are a lot of billionaire's right now are not a degree holder. right?

education introduces the world of language and numeracy. it sharpens one's thinking, reasoning and analytical skills. the development of new ideas usually come from constant research and discussion. thus, education opens doors to lots of opportunities in a society, in a world we have come to know and to live in as it is now. i think if we could see a short-cut or an easier route (obviously legal) to becoming billionaires, getting a degree becomes secondary.

It is very important for me also..People who have a degree has a lot of edge to those who don't have in terms of finding a good job...But, I also agree with you that there are a lot of people who succeed even without the degree!

in my experience. even if i have a good job now, i still wish that some day i could go back to studies. i do not mean that i am not educated. i am a graduate of a technical course. but it stops me from securing a better position in the office. i wish i had a degree to apply for a higher position, but being a technical man hinders me to even talk about promotion. if only i have any degree, it could be easier. for now, i keep the position with work load similar to a degree holder. but you see, even if there are people in the office who are degree holders, i can better them in performance. so i still believe, education is not that important when you are already mastered your craft. a degree is important in getting a job. but sometimes, given the same work routine, non-degree holder gets to be a better performer than skilled.

education is important in finding a good job because it is one of the important requirements of the company before they hire a person. he should have the educational qualifications needed. though there are people who became billionaires not by having a degree but they were able to do it in some skills that they develop until they mastered it and become their way of life, just like manny pacquiao. but still education is very important because you can relate to any kind of job available.

A degree or a diploma is only good for bringing you to the door. Now, what you do after that is really up to you. The question about having a degree is just like any generic question during the application process: are you over 18? have you been convicted of any crime? are you a veteran? do you have a degree? If you're really crafty, you can put anything in your CV. I don't think a lot of employers nowadays really verify if you've completed your education. Sad.

I think education is important in life. It opens and broadens our perception to life. It helps us being able to mix with other people of different religion, tradition, culture and be able to maintain a discussion with others. I belief that education does make us better persons. It also opens many doors in terms of career.

Education is important, but only to a certain degree.. And how do one know, if they have a degree?? It's not that straight forward either.. lol =D UNLess one is applying for job in company, and requires the proof.. If not, a good understanding and grasp of english or whatever native language, will be more than enough to lie their way thru.. lol =D That's how most scammers work, and are they degree holders?? I dun think so!! They are just smart in their own ways.. lol =D

hi carrine, I absolutely agree with you. I have same course as you but just different in major.Math is my waterloo so I cannot choose it or else I cannot graduate in college. I am a BSEd graduate also major in English . Teaching profession is not of my choice also but I studied it for practical purpose. AS of now, there are large number of unemployment here in Philippines. Many had graduated from college but do not have a job. While others got a job but most of the time, that job is not suitable to what they had finished. As of now I am teaching already and deciding to took up a Masteral Degree Course. There is a university near to us that offers a low tuition and I am encouraging my cousins to study there. They said they do not want to take up Education Course because they do not want to teach. But I told them that even though Teaching profession is the course you get, they can get other job after they graduated. What you said is really true. As of now, having a degree is very important. I was very much surprised when I was on the process of job hunting. Because when I was taking up the exam, there are also some applicants there that taking an exam. And when I ask them what are they applying to, they said they are applying as a janitor. I was really surprised that even how simple the job is, they still need to take up an exam for that.

Well, Education makes a worthy contribution to our lives, by making us responsible citizens. It enables us to understand our duties as a citizen and encourages us to follow them. There is no denying the fact that an educated person is a better citizen. Education spreads awareness, informing us about our rights and the services that we can access. On the most basic notes, it teaches us to differentiate between right and wrong. For most part of our lives, we falter in dichotomizing right and wrong, but the right education gives us the right answers. Also, an educated person is a confident person. Education fosters a positive outlook and allows us to believe in ourselves. Thanks

I think if you can master your own craft like Manny Pacquiao(Pacman). He is not a degree holder but he earning billions of dollar just only one fight. Education is important if you can apply it quickly with a Masteral, It open the door of opportunity.

In my own opinion, yes EDUCATION is very important, it is one way to achieve our goals, I took up Economics and Business Management when I was in college, afar from my desire of becoming an architect or a fine arts student. But still I pursued to finish the course not only for the sake of having a degree, but also for my own desire to be part in a corporate world. I always believed that it's not only the degree that matters, one should also possess the attitudes of being optimistic, determined and dedicated.

Well, education is important to me because it helps me develop new interests in life that may be entertaining or allow me to enter a new occupation. Education also will lead me to more job opportunities and a wider choice of jobs. Therefore, it is correlated with job satisfaction.^^
