Is it possible for a baby to be type A when his mother is type B and his father is type O?

No. A person who has a B blood type will have a gene pair of either BB or BO, with no A to pass on to a child. A person who has O blood type has the gene pair OO, also with no A gene to pass on. If neither parent has the gene that causes A type blood, then the baby cannot have A type blood. The baby will have either B or O type blood.

Well, i dont think baby to have a completely different blood group. The baby may inherit either the moms B blood group relation or the father O blood group relation types of blood.
