Taking account is a good habit which make it possible to analysis the daily expense and then take control of your cash flow. It helps to find out the reason of running out of money. So for those who always complain about money, it is better to take account everyday and they will know what causes the money shortage. The good habit will also help to safe money. When we find that our money are almost spent on eating in restaurant or entertainment, we may try to cut some of these activity and safe money for nessasity. On the other hand, we may also consider to spent money on investment if we find we have too much idle money. In conclusion, taking account will let us how our money spent and then encourage us to adjust the structure of our cash flow. So do you have the habit of taking account? I am insist on doing it.

Well, thats a great habit. But i never have time to do that. I have a note where i do a overall calculation of the week roughly. But i always see my grandfather sits that night and note down all the expenses and balances in his own notebook. And thats a very good habit, you can get to know how you make use of the earnings and economically aware of your spendings and savings!

enix, i totally agree with you. its the only sound way of budgeting, knowing where the money is going too and how to cut back on any item to save for future payments of premium etc. every month, i do my budget. there are months where i have more bills to pay like insurance policies, fire policy for my home and even medical policies. there are months where the house assessment and quit rents come in. our water and electricity are billed every 2 months. then there is the school/ college semester fees to pay. all these need money. of course there are incidental expenses like car services and maintanence, roof leaking, or even marriage to attend. at times, i really have to have a hard look at where the money is going. i look at ways to cut corners to save for the future. as regarsd to savings, where to put either in fixed deposits or put in unit trusts etc. so many decisions to make so as not to make mistakes with the limited funds and resources we have.so we have to develope this very good habit of taking accounts of what we do in every areas of our lives too.
