Do you think star players of Liverpool like Stevie Gerrard & Torres threaten to leave the club in order to force the owners to invest in new players cos with the present stand of Lverpool it seems they are short of man-power. or do you have another solution for the club ?

Hi zatak, Funding is not the reason for the worst ever performance Liverpool ever shown since long time ago. It was Rafa Benitez. He did not know how to spend the money well. Most of the players he bought to Anfield is not up to the expectation or never have a chance to shown their capability like Robbie Keane. Only a few players like Fernando Torres, Glen Johnson and Javier Mascherano were a good buying from Rafa. The rest were nothing.

I totally agree wit ram_cv. The fundings are more than enough. Rafa has signed around 100 and only 10 or so have the skill to play for Liverpool. If you look at the squad there haven't been a decent wing player since Harry Kewell. Babel and Kuyt are forwards. And Riera, Maxi and El Jhar are mediocre players and have no place at anfield. The thing I don't understand is why Gerrad and Torres don't say that Rafa is the problem.

I do not think that Liverpool has suffered because of lack of funds. It has more suffered because of poor signings from Rafa Benitez. Liverpool has been one of the top three spenders over the period of last six years of Benitez era, and yet find themselves not having a match winner apart from Gerrard, who was already there at Liverpool and Torres who happens to be Rafa's best buy. I think Stevie G and Torres should now flex some player power and get Rafa thrown out. Cheers! Ram
